you won't understand it anywayYou have not presented a fact.
You have merely presented your opinion as though it were fact.
It matters not how much you like your opinion, it is nothing but opinion until you can show it is a fact.
You will first need to show that your god actually exists and is not just yet another of your opinions.
Now since you are not the least bit interested in supporting your claims, I shall not be holding my breath.
twisted and confusing. you mean the mind is twisted that's why it's confusing. So much twisted scripture,
is up really up, it seems to be confusing to me,
but out of moronity comes more of the same.

Haha! Funny. The last time I checked I am the one with the questions. But I am finding questions are MUCH more powerful than answers. Est-ce pas?hey JM2C
Insulting one's mind isn't the best way to go in these threads,
I would think, the reciting of the twisted scriptures is most of the problem here.
I would think most Christians would recognize that fact.
Ask Savagewind that question, she has the real answers.
Maybe you would like to ask Mike, he has much more,
you might not like them though.
Peace on you, regardless of your discourteous way.

You do know there is a difference between accepting and understanding, right?you won't understand it anyway
you won't understand it anyway
What anyone else does is their choice. I do hope that they are faithful, and they are my brothers and sisters, but it's not up to me to tell anyone what to think or do.I hope for your sake that saying you do not care what every other JW does is only a figure of speech.
OK. I agree. What anyone else does is their choice. I do hope that they are faithful, and they are my brothers and sisters, but it's not up to me to tell anyone what to think or do.
James 2:17 says: 14-17...
Now, the governing body does not "command" anything. They are fellow workers in Jehovah, not bosses, lords, leaders, or superiors.
You are reading things onto my words, that I didn't say. I said that faith without works is dead, as works without faith is dead. What has the governing body to do with it? You interjected that. I never said that, and neither did God. The governing body is the "faithful and discreet slave" who feeds the servants at the proper time. They provide spiritual food. They provide direction for the society to function. They do NOT "dictate" anything, except maybe letters to a secretary. Why are you obsessed with the governing body? What is that all about?savagewind said: ↑I hear you saying it is works which save a person.* Also I hear you saying as long as a person does the works and sides with the governing body with what they are right about that is all a person must do. It doesn't matter if they are wrong about anything. But for us it means condemnation to be wrong about anything you believe you are right about.
*pray, read, study daily, attend meetings, go door to door and do as the govening body commands
Mike those verses are correct as well as the others you posted, but they are wrongly applied to what was asked of the "works and the "governing body" expectations.
I went to the "Official JW site" and this information was obtained concerning the functions of that "body".
"""...oversees the preparations of the spiritual food, gives impetus to the Kingdom/preaching work, and supervises the appointment of brothers to positions of responsibility"""".
Therefore, those duties contradict your assessment.
What anyone else does is their choice. I do hope that they are faithful, and they are my brothers and sisters, but it's not up to me to tell anyone what to think or do.
No, my assessment is not contradicted by what you quoted. Again I ask, WHY ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION???You are reading things onto my words, that I didn't say. I said that faith without works is dead, as works without faith is dead. What has the governing body to do with it? You interjected that. I never said that, and neither did God. Jesus was born in a manger. This account is in Luke 2.Almost 15 months later the Magi arrived at Jesus' family's house. He was already a child with his mother. This account is in Matthew 2.
No it is not contrary at all. It is your misunderstanding that is the problem. They are not bosses. You just don't understand.Mike this came from your #610 post:
What I posted from your beliefs Official site and what SW was correctly saying is contrary that which you declared.
But again, our discussion now is off-topic other than it was the "Governing Body" which approve of the "NWT". which apparently has given rise to other misapplications of the true Scriptures/Teachings.
The celebrations of birthdays isn't forbidden in the scriptures.(Nor is that of Jesus---even if it is assigned---nor is the day "worshiped." And Yes, it is being more secularized each year. But for the Believer, in Jesus Christ, the reason for the season is Christ in Christmas.
Mud, you are correct in the futility of bashing God's named people. People hate what isn't like them. As far as Luke and Matthew, what are you referring to? Their different viewpoints on the same subject?I'm kinda tired of all the JW arguments, they go nowhere.
But I'm really interested in the differences between Matthew and Luke.
The two of them don't seem to see effects from the same perspective.
I'm not a student like Bible or Mike, but I would like to hear their viewpoints.
But....If everyone insists in the futility of gangbanging the JWs,
well..... go for it, I'll watch for awhile.
