Romans 2:6-7

aged ecumenical anthropologist
Does Romans 2:6-7 talk about doing good deeds? To be good in God's sight?I think it does.:)
We must do good deeds under what Jesus taught us to do but are not bound by good deeds under the [Jewish] Law other than by those taught by Jesus himself.

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

Notice it's not just doing good, but accepting the truth.

Doesn't matter what it is to me, what does Scripture say it is? Paul is building an argument here, and you have to be careful not to stop with the good works, because that's not where he's going.

21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
This is the truth he's getting to, that salvation only comes through Christ.

Just to inform my friends that the red letter Bible of KJV has not marked Romans 2:6-7 in red letters that means these verses are neither written by Jesus nor authored by Jesus, I understand, one may check here, please:
New Testament (RLE): The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Romans

Regards
If you take verses in read so uber authoritative maybe consider taking a pencil and strike trough all verses not in red, I mean what's the purpose of them if they're not what Jesus said?

This "Holy" work, as suggested by one, is to be done by the KJV people, please. Right?
