Michelle Obama's DNC speech

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Yes and we see that you object to forward movement. You seem to very much prefer living with known problems to trying to find solutions.
You must mean the Forward Party where both disgruntled Republicans and disgruntled Democrats get together.

The thing is I don't even hear hide nor hair of the party anymore. It's like it doesn't even exist anymore.

That's the forward movement I would like to see.

Oh I wouldn't count American Democrats as liberals, and the other parties don't much matter to me.
No, by world standards they are conservative but in comparison to reactionary right wing positions that are generally only associated with authoritarian dictatorships, American Democrats are liberal.

Democrats are socialist now with their sympathizers.

My wife had tears throughout most of her speech, but she is one who cares about people and feels that government has a role to help the disadvantaged and all others.

Of course, I had a dry eye throught all of it.
Liar!! But I still love you:hearteyecat: The stupid Democrats are always making me cry. I think that I will vote for Trump just to show them:rage::rage:

I don't know what she dealt with and neither do you. All I know is that SHE SAID WHAT SHE SAID, which is "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country." I guess she wasn't proud of her country at any other time. I think that's sad and very telling.
It's telling in that she didn't come from a privileged background and has lived with the consequences of a society that only pays lip service to the values America was actually founded on. The only thing sad is America's foolhearty no negativity allowed and dismissing anything that offers criticism because it's not positive amd grateful enough to be validated.

Who said anything about feeling sorry for her? Are her observations and experiences in college invalid because of this? Of course not! And she does speak truth of what really happens. I come from a poor background. When I was in college, especially in my honor's classes, there were times when I felt like Kenny McCormick from South Park, including a muffled voice and opinions that didn't matter because I didn't meet their monied requirements. She got something like that plus being black added on top of it.
Michelle was never poor or even working class. She was at least middle class or even upper class in her upbringing. Her famiy had a vacation home. No poor person has a vacation home or can even afford a vacation. She's far more privileged than a lot of white people have been. This whole "all black people are victims who have it worse than any white" is ridiculous and racist in of itself.

Your point?
If there was one, she didn't start with a million dollar loan either.

I'm not Michelle Obama on the campaign trail.
Is that really so special? There's many politicians who have said dumb things on the campaign trail and some of them are women. Or do you just not like her?

Some are Social Democrats. But maybe to some doing anything that business does not like is socialist - those who love the wealthy.

No one is saying that except those who distort what is being said.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Harris is the one running for President. But I've never liked Michelle Obama very much. Hey, at least I'm consistent! I don't like her, or Hilary, or Palin for that matter.

Are some people here leftists?

I’m hopeless with my left. I’ve always been a natural righty. But I do maintain healthy liberal and progressive streaks in my political outlook along with a healthy regard for conservatism. Surely no one is purely just one thing?

I would hope not but apparently some think some are.
