I was raised as a Protestant Christian, but left the faith after mounting doubts that couldn't be quashed. After leaving Christianity, I started studying other faiths more. I gravitated towards Zoroastrianism, finding a lot familiar in it, but it also resonated more with me. I was not a Zoroastrian, but I have read the Avesta and it certainly was one of the earliest major non-Christian influences on my thought.
I drifted towards a vague belief in a pantheistic god, though I rarely if ever address this god and do not see it as a creator-god but rather as "the whole and the sum of its parts", the divine and mundane, awesome and awful Universe that I am a part of. I do, however, pray to and honor many deities that I have felt drawn to over my life thus far. I struggle with how to label my beliefs, nothing ever feels quite right, but I suppose Agnostic Pagan covers it well enough.
