I'm the New York Times Bestselling co-author of Star Wars: The Last Jedi (with Michael Reaves) and Devil's Daughter (with Hope Schenk-de Michele and Paul Marquez). I became addicted to science fiction when my dad let mr stay up late to watch The Day the Earth Stood Still. I've had short fiction published in Analog, Amazing Stories, Century, Realms of Fantasy, Interzone, Paradox and Jim Baen’s Universe. My debut novel, The Meri (Baen), was a Locus Magazine1992 Best First Novel nominee. Since, I've had published over a dozen speculative fiction novels. I live in San Jose where I write, perform, and record original and parody (filk) music with my husband and awesome musician and producer, Chef Jeff Vader, All-Powerful God of Biscuits. We've produced six music albums: RetroRocket Science, Aliens Ate My Homework and Grated Hits (parody), and the original music CDs Manhattan Sleeps, Mobius Street and I Remember the Rain.
