Hi Helen, I wanted to write back sooner but I always seem to be spread so thin, with never enough time. I'm a musician. I am a professional piano/keyboard player and vocalist with a definate Vegas flair. I want to make a real living as a musician, and my family and I want to start a whole new life in a different (warmer) climate. We are sick to death of NJ.

My oldest daughter 16, really needs a whole new life enviornment as well.

my young ones are 9 (boy) 4 & 5 (girls).

Hi there back at ya!
Yes, I live in Vegas. I moved here about a year and a half ago from Portland OR. How do I like it- hmmm, well it doesn't rain here.. We are in the middle of what I lovingly call Cremetoria. It has been over 100 for 3 weeks. That gets old. But then in September the weather breaks and we have a great fall, a mild winter, a wonder spring then back to Cremetoria. All in all I like the weather, it is just hot now. The city is bigger than where I came from, and much busier. There are parts of town that are scary, but we live in a great neighbor hood. There was a lot of cultural stuff to do in Portland, I don't find that so much here. This place is lively! And you will always have house guests!!! Everyone wants to come to Vegas. I left all my friends and family in Oregon, but I am meeting new people here. My 2 sons followed us down, so we are not all alone.
I left my religion about a year before I moved. I was Mormon, so it was all encompassing. I was a member for over 30 years. I guess I probably come off as harsh, I am still dealing with the leftovers.
My children are grown, but the two that followed us are staying with us for a bit. How old are yours? What brings you here in a year or so? If you intend on buying a house, now is the time!! The prices are way down. I suggest you don't move here June- August, you might not stay!
