'More Indigenous kids removed from their parents than ever.

In the midst of the spike, a new report shows only 6 per cent of child protection funding goes to Aboriginal-run organisations.

What’s next?

Advocates are calling for Aboriginal organisations to receive a bigger chunk of funding for prevention and early intervention support programs: "We know they work."'

Source: First Nations children are being removed from families at highest levels ever recorded

It seems that indigenous children face better outcomes when placed in the care of near relatives than when torn out of their communities altogether is what I believe advocates are getting at, perhaps money needs to be redirected to these in community type support programs.
