By whom?
Germany.
Germany shelves Nord Stream 2 pipeline
Undersea pipeline, meant to ferry natural gas directly from Russia to northern Germany, is owned by a subsidiary of Gazprom.

The two pipelines must be operational. Both.
They aren't and haven't been since august last year.
Clearly it doesn't.Germany needs that natural gas.
It's about the EU economy.
The EU economy is much better off now then when it was the victim of Russia weaponizing gas supplies.
I don't care about the past.
Business people who like to have trustworthy partners, do.
They need to be operational. Fully. Both.
Why? They haven't been for over a year and gas / energy prices are much lower now then back when Russia was weaponizing gas supplies.
Reserves are also comfortably filled. So clearly, we don't actually need that Russian gas.
It had impact.
That is why the German Government is at shambles.
False. Shifting to other gas suppliers had nothing to do with that.
None of this has anything to do with the point you are replying to and everything with your anti-EU sentiment and self-hatred.As a Belgian, don't you think you have an oversized opinion of your own country?
If Belgium leaves the EU, nobody will give a damn. No offense...
Germany is the first economy of the union, so it has the right to dictate the economic agenda of the EU.
