  • I think the primary point in C_U_N_Hell's OP was that, if there is some sort of exterior universe and our subjective world is in some way a "dream" or "hallucination," then we simply have no way of probing the exterior universe. Science examines phenomena, it examines things as they appear. But if there is some exterior reality, hidden to us, then science has no access to that. Science might not be able to probe that exterior reality's laws, because science would have no way to ACCESS that reality in the first place.
