As you enjoy religious debate maybe I could ask you to vote for the legitimacy of a Miracle in 2006. Please have a read of the following page :
www. creativecausations .com (no spaces) and go to Miracle Vote.

    Thank you.

I was born in the year of the snake. :D I know that because I used to be into TY beanie babies, and they had zodiac animals, and 1989 is the snake. My mom and sister are both the rabbit.
so, whats the next project that you have in mind for timeless myths if I may ask? Btw I would be more than happy to help you gathering any research, if that is even possible, I know that you have some excellent resources...
At last I have found you! One finds himself at a loss for words when he finds himself before his idol...
Some years ago while in college I discovered your website at Timelessmyths.com as I am also a lover of mythology and have a predilection and fascination with such it was natural that I am pulled to such sites and it was fate that I find it. How I have learned because of you and your studious research! I have grown as an individual, the myths took flesh, a seed of realization took firm root and germinated!
How fitting that my idol is also a master poet, as your 'Book of heroes' evidently attest to. Like the Fianna of old Ireland you can match deeds with words, a modern bard, and thus, can recall the great deeds of the mythic heroes so that their memory lives on for all time! I admit, I have a bit of a man crush, but I just wanted to thank you in person for all that you have blessed me with, I even signed up and made an account here so that I could talk to you. I would like to present you with something, its a bit silly I suppose, but I think your site deserves an award. So, I humbly offer you the feather of truth award...

The feather is supposed to be an ostrich plume bending under its own weight. It is symbolic of Maat, the Egyptian goddess of truth and justice, the eye belongs to Thoth, the god of wisdom and the inventor of language, the patron god of all scribes. I can think of no better icons or symbols for such a learned man as yourself. I again give you thanks and wish you much luck in your future. If you wish to contact me you can find me here now as the 'hand of Ammon' or at [email protected].
    May the gods bless you!

    Hail Gnostic!

According to the ancient-Roman historian Pliny (AD 23-79), Phoenician merchants transporting stone actually discovered glass (or rather became aware of its existence accidentally) in the region of Syria around 5000 BC. Pliny tells how the merchants, after landing, rested cooking pots on blocks of nitrate placed by their fire. With the intense heat of the fire, the blocks eventually melted and mixed with the sand of the beach to form an opaque liquid.

If a Roman said it it must be true?:)

Aha. I knew a little about Pandora's box, except for the last part. Now I see the connection.
    Who's Pandora?

In Greek myth,Zeus didn't like the way Prometheus showed favours to mankind. So Zeus and other gods created the first woman, and offer her to Epimetheus, Prometheus' brother, despite his brother warning not to accept any gift from Zeus.

Pandora's name means "Gifts" and that's what the gods gave her. Zeus gave Pandora a beautiful box as a wedding gift to the Titan Epimetheus, which the gods told her not to open. Her curiosity got the best of her, she opened the lid, and release spirits of suffering, woes, disease and other ill-spirits (or evil spirits) that would plague mankind. She closed the box, but it was too late. The only spirit managed to keep in the box, is Hope.

That's the only thing that left for mankind, hope.
Thank you, Hope. I'm very pleased that you have accepted my invitation.

As to science vs religion debates. Every now and then. Don't post there as much as I used to. Are there anything interesting that I should be "interested" in?
Thanks for asking me to be an RF friend, gnostic. Do you still frequent the science vs religion debates?
