Hi;
I'm a JW from the US. I followed shuttlecraft from able 2 know dot org where he was known as Romeo Fabulini. Though I disagreed with him on almost everything, I was kind of worried when he suddenly disappeared. I thought perhaps he was in an accident or something. Any way, you may wish to meet me and smileyrius over there. It's good to know there are brothers and sisters online.
Agape,
Bob Elton
This is totally awesome!This article from the April 26th 1922 edition of The Golden Age amazes me.It is speaking of cell phones almost 100 years ago.Not only that but it describes how people will be able to receive news from all over the earth and communicate at will.It is almost as if it is describing jw.org. This really blows my mind."The Golden Age" went on to become "The Awake" magazine.
The part that I'm talking about, in the article, is in the second paragraph on the left.Read it all though.
I have never had a nice encounter with a Jehovah's Witness before and to be frank you are the only one I find enjoyable since you bring up such wonderful topics in response to questions
Thats great to hear. I can't complain, i've been very busy over the past several months with work and travel. We recently had our district conventions and just a had a revision of the NWT released which is fantastic!
I had JWs knock at my door today... How timely, after I said that I'll consider the next encounter with religion. It's the first time I see them in the UK, I've been living here for 4 years! Well I accepted their free book, I thought, why not? I'd imagine you're familiar with it, "What does the Bible really teach?"
Hey, since our conversation about monasticism on the DIR got deleted, I bumped an old thread of mine in the Same Faith Debates forum where you can voice some of your objections if you like, and we can move the conversation there.
I just downloaded the book (audio) you told me about. I can't wait to listen to it! I am also reading 'Studies in the Scriptures' by Charles Taze Russell.
