    I assumed this thread was about religious cults as it is in the comparative religion section, but what we generally consider to be cults are religious/spiritualist based. Maybe it comes from the word "occult?" I'm not sure about that.

    I agree with pegg and jay here, they would never know if God has taken away their desire to rape children, so why put their own family and friends at risk? Even if someone does believe Jesus performs miracles today doesn't mean they have to be completely faith blind and stupid.

    Maybe early Christians didn't actually say God's name as much as JWs think they did or as much as JWs do? Maybe they thought the same thing about his name as the Jews do?

    Nazi Germany should not be used to boast about how righteous and special you are, it was a time of survival, people did what they had to do to survive, others resisted, all should get sympathy, no group was better than the other is what I am saying.
