I've read all of it. Before becoming an atheist I was about to take monastic vows, and become a Franciscan friar, so reading the scripture was a big thing for me back then.
Thank you for all the replies, everyone. I am certainly enjoying it on here. I can see that there are a lot of interesting people posting a lot of interesting things on this site. And it's all so civil here, too!
Here in England it's not much of an issue, unless you live in a neighbourhood with a lot of black or asian people. They tend to be more religious. But elsewhere most English people tend to be agnostic or atheist in practice, so it doesn't come up very often.

Well, an atheist could if he/she wanted, try the Church of England, which is mostly just about tradition these days. Even half their clergy don't believe in God. And they do make a rather good cup of tea. Personally I can't be bothered though.
I just don't see the point in ridding oneself of one load of dogma, and then replacing it with another. I'm aware that LaVeyanism is essentially atheistic, but I don't want to give my mind away to any atheistic religion any more than I would to a theistic one.
