World has not been effective in helping Darfur

Yes, the Darfur situation doesn't seem to be easing up, and the UN and the AU have shown to be almost worthless in stopping the ethnic cleansing and genocide going on there. The area is so remote, it's hard to send humanitarian aid. I hope the Church can actually do something, and keeps trying...

    Astro Natal Chart

Okay, I'm Catholic, so I'm not supposed to do this but.... Sun square Moon in fixed signs...stamina, objectivity, interest in other people, detachment...heavy air (intellect) and a Western chart...could mean a career overseas (Aquarian Sun in 9th),...early childhood problems (Saturn conjunct...

Which is your favorite gospel and why?

That's really true, Arabus, all listed are best for different reasons, I picked Matthew because it's the most balanced of them IMO, but I like them all.

If it comes down to Hillary and Mitt who would you vote for ???

Heh, I voted "undecided", but it looks like "neither" was winning the poll here. I don't care for ANYBODY running in either party, Hillary v. Mitt is one of the worst case scenarios...I'd probably pick the Mormon over the socialist but it wouldn't matter to me who won.

    Catholic Town

Yeah, I've heard about this town, don't see why pizza would be forbiddened. I think this is a novelty, planned cities usually don't work out, but it IS an interesting concept.

    A Cardinal's comments...

There's going to be an offical statement about this soon, straight from the Vatican. Tried to post a link, not enough posts yet. The Church won't go off too radical on this, the Cardinal you quoted is one of the most liberal of them all.

    A new appreciation for Catholics.

Hi, all, yeah, I think Catholicism is making some kind of comeback, about time. "The DaVinci Code" is re-awakening interest in the religion, even though this book is just fiction and has been blasted by the Church. Any publicity.

    Chirac is revolting!

heh, this is just Chirac being Chirac. He thinks France is going to lose its "uniqueness" and become just another European country. He's always upset about something, he gets angry if someone doesn't speak perfect French, hope Chiac doesn't hang around too much longer.
