Why do christianity get so much hate?

So if they don't respect your boundaries you ignore them. Back in the day i would have thought that to be a sign of weakness. These days I consider that a sign of strength because a person who is comfortable where they stand confidently protects their boundaries.

It is difficult to feel this way about people who wrong you though.

Why do christianity get so much hate?

And this is why I like the fact that Jews aren't Sola Scriptura. :) If my understanding of general current Judaism is correct, do you guys consider Judaism really just for jews and other peoples have their own path to follow to connect with God?

These are great exerpts. Do you follow Ancient Egyptian religion? All of these verses speak to me but especially the second one. Diminishing the following of your heart is an abomination to your soul. Quite a great verse. Thank you.

Ah, this takes me back to my bible roots.... This is a very interesting insight of yours. To add to it, the bible says that we are "made in the image of God". To harm another is then to harm Gods image. To hate another is to hate Gods image. So you end up hating and harming God really. So in...

Why do christianity get so much hate?

Was a Jehovah's Witness? Yes Was I brought up as JW? No Are my parents JW? No Did I become atheist as a reaction? Not immediately. I still considered myself a Christian but then a Reformed colleague invited me to her church, i went, and realised they wanted to take advantage of vulnerability...

Word of wisdom in Non-Abrahamic Faiths

I already came to this conclusion independently recently so I am gonna adopt this as a reminder to myself. As a person who didn't trust myself and relied upon external views to validate my own worldview (everything mentioned in Kesamutti sutta) I know the flaws of not trusting my own experience...

Ah I see. I think I have heard of something very similar of Sangomas, traditional healers and such in Africa who go into a trance and attain traits of animals. So in this sense your quote about being fluid applies? How does the quote help you in life with regards to the explanation of dressing...

What is mental shapeshifting? I am only aware of shapeshifting of the physical form.

Reminds me of whaat Bruce Lee said: "Be like water my friend". Is there any specific aspect of your spirituality that emphasises this?

    Daily Tai Chi

I started learning Yang style Taijiquan this year. I am still learning 21 step and the 5 elements. If you are taught the applications of taijiquan movements and keep them in mind, then you will better understand what is going on.

Word of wisdom in Non-Abrahamic Faiths

This paragraph is quite thought provoking in its full context. Focus on what can be done today rather than tomorrow because we don't know what will happen, even death may happen. Maybe it is the case that too much focus on the past and future causes endless procrastination. Which is an issue...

From a Tool song called "Parabol/Parabola" "This body, this body holding me Be my reminder here that I am not alone in This body, this body holding me Feeling eternal, all this pain is an illusion" Reminds me of my Sifu's quote.

Your sjit comes from you. So love yourself and what you produce. Thats an interesting experience. I think that if we rely on love from external sources then we are in for disappointment. We have to learn to love ourselves first. The light of love must shine from us and onto others. When others...

Why do christianity get so much hate?

Your experience with cancer is shocking. I do not know what to make of it. But I am very happy that you are cured! Glad you like my Sifu's quote. I love Taoism too. The Eastern faiths tend to appeal to me more. And with Taoism I am even practicing through Qigong and Taijiquan. I regard them as...
