Looking at the videos, I don't see anyone fighting with police. I see protestors arguing with police, but no fighting. The Democratic reps shouted "power to the people" over a megaphone.
Shrug.
Let's see....8 pages into the thread and you were still going on and on with "what about Obama and Clinton". Again, following the whataboutism script to a T.
LOL....pointing out how you've been following the whataboutism script to a T just isn't "interesting" to you? Yeah right. Pretty weak sauce there Willy.
Then you're just kind of shouting into the wind to no avail, aren't you?
Nope.
I wonder if you appreciate though how, whether you realize it or not, your behavior in these threads follows the whataboutism/distract/run interference playbook almost perfectly. Maybe that isn't your intent, but...
Are you expecting folks here to do that or something? Maybe instead of posting anonymously on an obscure religious message board to people who can't do anything to fulfill your wishes, you'd be more effective making your case to someone who can actually do something about it.
Oh I see what you're doing; it's the same thing I've seen you do for years. Whenever some damning news comes out about a Republican, you run interference by playing the "whataboutism" game.
Thank you for that. I've honestly been struggling the last few years with how I can't escape reaching the same conclusion. I really don't like concluding that a lot of fundamentalist Christians are among the worst people I've ever seen, but then I peek into their world and see constant streams...
What th....? John Edwards was among the leading Democratic candidates for President. His affair and cover up completely ruined his political career. Of course Trump doing the same thing has had the opposite effect among Republican voters, which doesn't speak well of the GOP base, does it?
You're missing the point. The Edwards case shows that the Trump case isn't anything unusual, new, or even politically motivated. Politicians, both Dems and Repubs, have been indicted for campaign finance violations. Trump is just the latest.
And if Trump thought as you depict, then he's a...
True, regardless of what's in the law they still have to actually take action (unless someone tries to make a prima facie case). And yeah it's outrageous....it's a completely new thing for our country.
I'll repeat....
Indicting, charging, arresting, trying, and even locking up political figures is absolutely nothing new in the US. Prominent examples include Vice President Spiro Agnew who was investigated, eventually pled guilty to tax evasion, and resigned; Rick Perry who was under indictment...
There's a grand jury for that as well. However, GA Republicans are giving themselves the power to remove prosecutors at their whim, so we'll have to see how that goes too.
I dunno....the PB's were created as a street-fighting group as a counter to ANTIFA. I'm not sure what specifically the PB's would target or how they would do so, unless they evolve into a true domestic terror group. Some of the militias on the other hand.....
I pointed out in the other thread that Trump's case bears a lot of similarities to the John Edwards case...covering up hush money paid to hide an affair, and subverting campaign finance laws to do it.
