Why do people believe what they believe?

Seriously, that's absurd, most people haven't even heard of it. Some guy claims he's a deity and writes some stuff, seriously? it's the oldest con trick in the book, how many examples would you like? Crikey, it's difficult to know where to start on this level of ignorance, do some research on...

There are no eyewitness accounts of Jesus in the New Testament

This really is a misconception, the main differences between different Christian Churches are small differences in the sacraments, the main schism is between Protestants and Catholics. Protestant Churches are pretty much all on the same page in principle, the exceptions being churches being...

Why do people believe what they believe?

He gives it to us via the Bible, so yes we are.

Why do people believe what they believe?

I'm sure you do, but there's nothing to support that.

Why do people believe what they believe?

Sorry but that's absurd, truth is not subjective, and time does not determine the truth. Christianity is applicable to all time, it's not something that can be changed or moulded, it is the absolute truth, demonstrably so.

Why do people believe what they believe?

So essentially what your faith is, is one that appears to be set up by the New World Order to usher in the 'one world religion'. It's simply a new age construct with no real basis in fact or evidence. It's not even remotely comparable to Christianity, evidentially or doctrinally. There is no...

Why do people believe what they believe?

The good news is that much of the rest of the world is bucking the trend so not everywhere will become a moral cesspit where babies are murdered for body parts and the elderly and sick are encouraged to kill themselves etc. Enjoy that secular 'morality' where anything and everything goes...

Why do people believe what they believe?

Then obviously you need to posit the one you think does, and we can see what the evidence tells us.

Why do people believe what they believe?

Of course it is, but if you think you have something more truthful then explain.

Why do people believe what they believe?

Of course, evidentially and doctrinally it stands above all others. Sorry, no actual evidence or explanation there that I can comment on. Why would God promote multiple religions to demonstrate his presence? especially religions with multiples deities? that makes no sense at all. Christianity...

Why do people believe what they believe?

Of course we choose, our desires and preferences are not separate from us. It's really not difficult, on an evidential basis, and doctrinally, one easily survives critical scrutiny above all others. Indeed, and when one does the truth becomes very evident.

Why do people believe what they believe?

All contain some elements of truth, but only one can be completely true, the fundamental differences are not compatible.

There are no eyewitness accounts of Jesus in the New Testament

The counterargument is quite simple, you made the statement that we know your claims to be true and then produced the usual litany of pseudo science and 'consensus' based nonsense that is always trotted out. There was nothing there that proved knowing at all, for instance it is well established...

There are no eyewitness accounts of Jesus in the New Testament

The age of the universe is based on pseudo science such as radiometric dating, which is demonstrably full of holes and assumptions and frankly laughable when it comes to accuracy, this has been demonstrated many times and by many examples, the Turin Shroud being the most notable. Ah, the...

Why do people believe what they believe?

I don't understand what this means?

Why do people believe what they believe?

You will find people leaving all faiths, and some join others, so evidentially this isn't a true statement. These religions will not lead you to God, only one will, they are all in conflict with each other in some way or another, only one can be true.

There are no eyewitness accounts of Jesus in the New Testament

How do we know those things didn't happen? that's simply a belief isn't it?
