How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

To start, would we considered the pyramid stones to have become discoloured over time or has it held its colour?

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Are you saying there are very significant differences between reconstituted limestone and natural limestone? Adding on the 4000+ years, plus limestone coating over the blocks too?

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Which is why their conclusion is non-sensical. You are an intelligent person, tell me how these massively heavy stones were moved off the boat?

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

It makes far more sense that 40 men each unloaded 50-60kg of ground limestone each into “Khufu’s Lake”, from where the limestone was taken out and then cast as stones. Does the record state specifically “block”?

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Hence why the cutting and moving blocks theory doesn’t hold up to common sense. Imagine moving 8 cars without tyres onto and off a boat.

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

How does the block get on and off the boat? Keeping in mind we are talking about an object that weighs as much as a large car.

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Yeah. I think people are underestimating how frustrating friction is when moving a 2.4 tonne block.

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Your thoughts on how quartzite statues were made with fine detail?

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

You still haven’t given dimensions for the boat carrying said block.

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Good one. Yes I’m holding to the theory of limestone being ground down and then cast into blocks. It’s clear the Egyptians had Moh’s Hardness scale down pat, I mean they have statues made of quartz, so they had to use a harder stone to carve such items. Ruby? Diamonds even?

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

How large does a boat need to be to transport a 2.4 tonne block? How do you get the stone into the centre of the boat?

It's simple! (to be or not to be revisited)

Punitive and moronic. Make unisex facilities legal, that’s it.

How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

I have always thought it bizarre that we believe rocks were cut from a quarry and then transported to the pyramid building site. We know reconstituted lime blocks make for a far, far, better building material and explains in simple terms how the pyramids could have been constructed. For...

The Symbolic Meaning of Jonah and the Whale

Hi @River Sea sorry for the late reply. Yes, sukkai has meaning in Tamil related to trade, which would include maritime trade. I believe it refers to the freight being carried, or the money being carried as a result of trade. சுக்கை cukkai n. šulka. Passage money, freight; கப்பற்சுங்கம்...

    Exodus Archeology Evidence

I find the use of the term "Memphite" to be interesting, because what exactly is meant by this? According to Wikipedia, Itjtawy was considered the capital of the 12th and 13th Dynasty until 1677BCE. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itjtawy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirteenth_Dynasty_of_Egypt...

    Exodus Archeology Evidence

Hyksos is used in reference to the 15th Dynasty, starting in 1650BCE. The 14th Dynasty starts in 1803BCE.

    Exodus Archeology Evidence

Thanks. The 14th Dynasty being a ruling class that was Canaanite in origin can therefore be considered.
