We believe in all the religions their Founders and scriptures but we don’t expect anyone else to. If others come to an opposite conclusion then I am happy for them and I respect their right to hold a different view.
It’s not my call it’s God’s Who is the Lord of all religions. It’s for Him not me to decide those things. God does as He pleases and He has the wisdom to know what is best for all mankind.
You’re entitled to believe that but Baha’is are very serious about Baha’u’llah being the Promised One of all religions. Not a ploy or tactic or word games. Other religions as I pointed out say the same. I said it was all nonsense 50 years ago until I looked into it deeply. So I understand your...
Baha’is definitely don’t see it that way. We believe that Baha’u’llah is the ‘fulfilment’ of the prophecies of past religions. So if Baha’u’llah is the the return of Christ in the Glory of the Father then former Christians like myself see Him as the One for Whom I have long awaited as a...
It’s the spiritual teachings of the past religions are eternal which even the new car still needs to function.
I was speaking about past religions which had harsh laws due to desert environment but that in our age many of the Baha’i laws involve a fine if broken or temporary loss of...
It depends also on the place. Buddha definitely corrected misconceptions of the Brahmins as did Jesus the Pharisees. im just including one instance here regarding Buddha re the caste system. You might like to read on in the link.
In the following conversation between the Buddha and the proud...
To you and others it could be any one of the claimants who are good spiritual teachers in your estimation. we are told that another Teacher will not arise for about a thousand years so over 150 years has already passed. For myself I don’t know and it would be very harrowing and confusing to try...
My understanding is that such a scenario is progressive not exclusive.
Christ could not have given teachings for world unity in His time as neither the world was fully discovered nor had world communications been invented. But in this age now that humanity has scientifically grown to become...
I think it depends. There are some religious sects that just want to make money and have worldly power, but then there are some religions that are from God and have pure intent.
That’s the closest I found to the one read at the Temple which was portraying one’s life as a song and to let the song be sung before the life comes to an end.
It’s common that a Prophet/Messenger of a subsequent religion corrects some misconceptions of the followers of the previous religion. The purpose of any Messenger is to bring truth and so we find that whenever a new Prophet arises and does not comply with the current beliefs, He is tortured and...
It’s just a description. Other names are Educator, Prophet Muhammad, Supreme Personality of Godhead which is in the Bhagavad-Gita so Hindus will agree with that.
The Prophets of God are all capable of performing miracles but I was not there to witness them so I cannot use that as proof. Baha’u’llah said He did not want miracles He performed publicised because people who were not present could argue. He said the greatest proof is the Person of the Prophet...
Thanks for your comments. One of my very favourite verses I remember all my life since I heard it recited in our Temple in Sydney Rig Veda Book 2 Hymn 28 : 5
Let not my thread, while I weave song, be severed, nor my work's sum, before the time, be shattered.
So from that one small verse...
The Vaishnavites believe In avatars and all it is is Baha’i belief but others may disagree. Same with Islam. The Baha’i Faith recognises the Imams as the rightful Successors of Muhammad.
