Kids today are being indoctrinated by the education system into thinking that nothing is a clear-cut well-defined issue and that everything must be looked at from every possible angle and discussed and debated at length.
As a result many kids grow up unsure of themselves, slightly neurotic and...
I was a very wimpy little schoolkid, I hated school and all the false values they were pumping into us, and at breaktimes I sometimes used to lock myself in a toilet cubicle and cry my eyes out thinking "There must be more to life than this".
But when I entrered my teens I began to be drawn more...
As for the alleged "prophets" who came after Jesus such as Mohammed and Joseph Smith, I don't accept they were true prophets for the simple reason that Jesus was the very last "messenger"-
"God spoke in times past by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son" (Hebrews 1:1/2)
Interestingly, some of the "messengers" (prophets) never wanted the job..:)-
For examp Moses admitted to being unable to think on his feet-
"O Lord, I have never been eloquent, I am slow of speech and tongue..Please send someone else.” (Exodus 4:10-13)
And Jonah was so scared he refused...
Sure, there were a lot of oddball religions and cults around in ancient times (there still are), so God had to send Jesus to tell them to cut the krap..:)
"Abandoned" is too strong a word, certainly the craftsmen had gone to earn big bucks at Sepphoris a few miles up the road, but there was no need for their wives and kids to go, and anyway somebody had to stay behind in Nazareth to tend the livestock.
Jesus certainly grew up in Nazareth, as in...
Nazareth was just a loose straggle of farms in Jesus's time, more of an "area" than a village and is not even a dot on old maps.
Furthermore there was big building work going on at Sepphoris a few miles to the north and its possible Jesus and his dad and other craftsmen from the Nazareth area...
Well jesus said "I'm not of this world..I'll tell you things hidden since the beginning of the world",
but atheists say 'nah not interested', so for them it's "out out brief candle"..:)
Hey Spock will you listen to an alien visitor?
"Affirmative, I'm all ears"
If anybody deliberately distorts stuff (whether theyre creationists or atheists or anybody else) it means they're certainly not christians, and when they arrive at the pearlies Jesus will bust their asses..:)
Jesus said:-"Not all who call me "Lord,Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven. Then...
Thanks, I gave away my copy of CMI long ago but if whoever wrote that quote on the net substituted "guess" for "perhaps" it means he's a liar and not a true christian-
"Ignorant people distort things.." (2 Pet 3:16/17)
However this online CMI seems correct-
But mate, as I pointed out in another post somewhere, at school I got College of Preceptors exam passes in General Science and Advanced Science, and went on to work in labs and can boast that-
"I am become death, shatterer of worlds"..:)
Here's another Dawkins quote from 'Climbing Mt Improbable'-
“My guess is that both bats and birds evolved flight by gliding downwards from the trees" p 113/14
Note he calls it a "guess"..:)
Anyway it makes no sense to think that animals hurled themselves out of trees and got splatted before...
Guys guys, like I said, many atheists were shouting for years that there wasn't a Nazareth in Jesus's time, then got humiliated real bad when digs uncovered it, haha.
For examp this guy's street cred plummeted bigtime..:)-
1- Christians don't do "fib"-
Jesus said- "Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” (John 18:37)
2- All the truckloads of evidence points to the fact Jesus existed..:)
Wait a min, in one breath atheists say the Bible has been edited and tidied up over the centuries to make it look good, then in the next breath they're saying its full of discrepancies.
Wish they'd make up their minds..:)
