I'm tolerant of people's sexual orientation and personal aesthetic, but not so tolerant of children being indoctrinated from an early age.
At least the individual in the photo brings panache to the pulpit, church can be so boring.
You blow over the holes at the top. I found that leaving the tapered ends on made it easier to play. The frequency is based on the air volume of each pipe.
About 25 years ago I made this pan flute out of a box of ball-point pens. I wrote a computer program to calculate the lengths. It worked remarkably well though I was no Zamfir.
What's the strangest invention you've ever seen? One of my favorites:
This transistor-based DIY "computer" performs addition and subtraction, making clever use of a rotary phone dial for input. The circuit itself only increments or decrements the binary value; the dial makes it convenient to...
I don't know, perhaps "inspired to achieve more" would have made more sense?
I wouldn't call it a theory, it seems like more of an alternative way of thinking; a perspective. Who knows, he kind of goes all over the place. o_O
I favor doubt over faith, and I don't feel an obligation to contribute to a "greater good". I don't believe in external deities and treat them symbolically as particularizations of the conscious mind.

Bad decisions on my part didn't help matters. Even so, I wonder if it survived on borrowed time in today's world of social media. I also tend to think that people often give up when...
I owned and operated the Order of the Serpent site for several years. At the end there were many technical issues I couldn't resolve without significant investment, and I needed to focus on personal problems. But by that time most of the official members had become uninterested or departed, and...
This reminds me of the idea that the gods would lose their divinity if they were directly involved with human affairs, yet are powerful enough that we can sense their presence and purpose. I can't remember where I saw that though.
I think humans evolved to become self-aware, intelligent beings. Because of that we're able to ask tough questions, but we're also capable of inventing answers, or personifying things of a "good" or "evil" nature.
But my goal isn't to devalue anyone's beliefs, I'm simply interested in how...
