If you could invent a new religion, what would you call it? Some Examples:
Church of Haten
Baconism
Society of Fractalists
Joy of Cake
Sisters of Percy
I could be wrong, but dont the measurements include the wood wasted by the thick saw blades used to mill the boards? Like 4" board - 1/2" blade = 3-1/2" product?
No harm in trying, perhaps post the idea in different places and see if you can round up a few dedicated people to help start things up. Do you have any specific plans yet, in terms of how you will operate your order and what you might offer to members?
This is my religion:
2 space indents.
No Egyptian braces, they should line up.
CamelCase for classes and namespaces.
mixedCase for methods.
lower_case for variables.
UPPER_CASE for macros.
And I'm right! :D
I don't know. But lately I've been thinking about consciousness in relation to fractals, you start off rough but can achieve greater definition given enough time/effort. The same equation can represent any level from the mundane to the transcendental. I'm a Fractalist now. :D
Choice of whether to use "Egyptian Braces", various coding styles, languages, text editors, operating systems, etc. might be an indication of a very real religion for some. I could care less as long as the damn thing works, but are you "religious" in your approach to programming computers?
I will look into that and try to make something of it. (I like to write or adapt my own code to avoid dependencies on libraries, learn stuff etc.) Thanks!
P.S. I think you should start thread(s) about wavelets and other topics of interest to you. Maybe boil things down a little for us non-math...
Please offer your best arguments for theism or atheism, I thought it would be fun to include them all in a single thread. I originally was going to post this in Interfaith Discussions, but figured it would only derail into a debate, so here we are :D
My own argument for theism is that...
