No it doesn’t have any sort of key hole to them. It’s just something you turn to lock and that’s it. On the outside there’s nothing to “pick” really
It’s actually a very basic design since my house was originally what we here call “housing commission.”
Basically our version of public housing...
Lol fair enough.
I guess I don’t really think about the size of our country in relation to other countries.
Though I suppose being able to fly to Fiji or even New Zealand from my state in less time it takes to fly to Western Australia did put things into perspective for me.
Am I the only one...
Hmm interesting
I mean my house has locks on all the bathroom doors. But they’re kind of “built in” to the knob, if that makes sense?
It does kind of differ house to house though. I think some have locks that you can unlock with a key. It just sort of depends. And you can have your own...
Yes. I suppose America is a large country. But Australia, actually, is roughly the same size as a country. I sometimes forget that too lol
But we don’t have to remember as many states ;)
Huh I didn’t know NSW was that big.
I suppose to my eyes it’s always appeared relatively small.
(I’m a Queenslander so you can imagine the comparison my brain usually makes lol.)
Ours kind of look like this
Ahh Silverton. I think I’ve actually been there once. Or near it possibly.
My dad was a retired truck driver so I’ve been a few places as a result of his need to “go caravanning.” Which meant stopping all over the place to visit old mates from yesteryear lol
A...
Mate the Kangaroos are always up for a fight. Don’t mess with them!
Ironically the giant scary spiders aren’t what you need to be wary of. They bite but they won’t kill you. The tiny ones that hide in your shoes will though! ;)
Oh I was using premature birth to mean specifically in a pregnancy where the water broke early. Not something that is optional.
Didn’t even occur to me that it was something that a person could ask to perform.
I guess there are scenarios where they intentionally try to break the water of a...
I didn’t know that!!
I don’t think it’s legal for a hospital to deny such a treatment for any reason here
Unless of course the doctors deem it not necessary I suppose.
I suppose to play Devil’s Advocate somewhat, there are premature births that require the born fetus to be sustained through the usage of medical intervention. Even breathing for it.
Do you consider that to be an exception or a kind of “grey area.”
Because I agree with your definition. I just...
Well my compromise has always been, legal safe abortion up to maybe 20 weeks. I could maybe go down to 15.
After that if it’s medically necessary then it should be a decision made by the doctor and patient.
But it’s been made clear to me watching the US that the pro life side (not all, mind you)...
I was about to say Uni students are already 18. Then I realised I was talking about the States in this thread. Duh! I’m silly
I started drinking at a fairly young age. Mostly sips taken from dad’s drink. Since it was supervised no one minded.
I started “drinking drinking” at around maybe 15...
Can’t comment one way or the other.
Don’t live in the states.
My cousin’s house in California, if I recall, did have those locks.
But that’s only one house so
This, I think, is the correct take.
My friends and I have seen what happens when you allow compromise. Granted mostly in the context of American politics which is admittedly a bit “harsher” than our own country’s
But still.
Apparently all the happens is that your “opponent” uses that willingness...
