    Could Jesus Swim?

This came from the YouTube skeptic community through way of Sargon of Arkhad who got it from Kekistan, who got it from 4Chan, who in turn got it from World of Warcraft. According to legend it translates to Lol. Sometimes people ask questions for which they already have the answers in order to...

Greek Paganism now legally recognised in Greece!!

Yeah, people love asking me that one. I suspect they like to do that to atheists in general. I don't think that worshipping deities makes anyone more or less valuable of a person.

Greek Paganism now legally recognised in Greece!!

I think you misunderstood what I meant by me stating that I don't think it matters in this situation. I was trying to convey that wether Athena is real or not we should be happy that she is allowed to be worshipped. And I already addressed the rest of this. A human can help other humans on...

    Should God (OT) be feared?

Not all modern religions flow from the Old Testament. Hinduism, Buddhism, Wicca, Scientology, to name a few.

Greek Paganism now legally recognised in Greece!!

I think Athens was named after Athena, though given that she was a newer edition to the pantheon it could be the other way around. I do not know for sure. In either case, she was considered to be the patron deity of the city.

Greek Paganism now legally recognised in Greece!!

I am always happy to see freedom of ideas being practiced. I don't think it matters if Athena is real or not in this situation. But to try to address your question: A human can help a human despite their being multiple humans, how is that any different than gods?

Non-religious people: What convinced you to stop believing in God?

I was raised by a Baptist mother. Around when I was 14 about to be 15, I was appalled by many of the strange rules and claims that it made. I knew that it contradicted science and honestly felt that it contradicted basic morality. My first assement was that there was something I was missing. So...

It just goes to show how low are expecting are for pools of this nature.

We all believe in crazy things...

I believed that humans will eventually become more rational as a whole. But now it's less of a belief and more of a hope.

Wow, I come to this site and see this post. I'm not sure wether I should be scared or excited. Probably feeling both to be honest.
