    Ushta, and welcome! =)

If one invites me to one' religion/no-religion, should I get annoyed with one?

If done respectfully, and thoughtfully, I don't mind. I enjoy thought provoking conversation. =) When one starts throwing their version of reality around with condescension or apathy towards people or their beliefs, then it gets irritating. =/

    D&D Online Alignment Test

Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates...

Why so many threads/posts about Muslims or Islam?

I appreciate the info on these books, and I will read them in the future when I have time. =) Lately I've been educating myself on modern Zoroastrianism (1800s+) and plan on learning about the Sassanian empire next (brutal, but fascinating times). Hmmm... I don't doubt that Zoroastrians convert...

Why so many threads/posts about Muslims or Islam?

Really? I'd think they would feel a "savior" who was born via virgin birth, and one who fights in the apocalypse would make much more sense (at least, as far as the Avesta goes); especially since he was supposedly legitimized by Magi on his birth (in other words, the Christian Jesus, according...

    Homosexuality and Evolution

Heh, I know what you mean, as I'm from around the Seattle area myself. I'd be lying if I said that living where I do hasn't shaped my world views in left leaning ways (socially). =) I can respect that you are openly evaluating and introspectively thinking about things; I wish more people would...

    Homosexuality and Evolution

Not always, it seems.... For instance, nipples in males (which seem to be prevalent in most mammals, even primitive ones). Or even tail(bone)s (sometimes we even grow tails, which is an interesting throwback mutation). =) Question for those who know - is homosexuality only observed in warm...

    Homosexuality and Evolution

Hmmm... Just curious, but have you talked to/known very many people who are homo/bi/trans sexual? It's been my experience in talking with people who are that they don't have much choice in the matter. =/

    Homosexuality and Evolution

Firstly, I'd like to say Ushta, and welcome to the forums! =) Now for my opinion, please keep in mind that I am ignorant as well. I grew up in a Christian setting, and had to educate myself as best as I could about evolution (Christian homeschooling only really taught creationism). There are...

    My Intro

Ah! It can be a daunting subject to learn about, but it is super fascinating if you are into theology. If you ever are curious about the subject, feel free to shoot us any questions you might have at the Zoroastrian DIR! =)

    My Intro

Ushta, and welcome! =) Just curious... As someone who has an interest in different religions, have you read up much on Zoroastrianism?

Zoroastrian Scriptures - where can one get them?

Oh! I wonder how the Darmesteter translation compares to the one you bought (The Thiselton-Dyer translation)? Let me know how well it reads. I wasn't a fan of Mill's style (waxing poetic King James style) in the Yasna section of the Avesta (the free one online).

    The Art of War

From what I understand, some Japanese businesses require their workers to read the book... It really is inspirational, and it's small, so why not? =)
