    If you understood what the Catholic Mass was or the Orthodox Divine Liturgy was, you would understand why there is an ordained priesthood. Unfortunately, not many Catholics understand what the Mass is. The priest is just the presider at the eucharist as mentioned in the NT.

    And Mass is offered everyday, twice a day, the same as the number of sacrifices in the temple in Jerusalem. You can go to communion every day. If there are enough ministers, both are offered. BTW, you don't get more Jesus by receiving both. One is sufficient.
