    Rosetta Stone

Hello, all. First off, to the moderators - I'm not sure if there is a better place to start this thread, so please feel free to move if needed. I'm curious if anybody has used Rosetta Stone, and whether they feel it's worth the hefty price tag? I'm dating a Polish girl that can...

I think I'm going to give up beef and pork.

Wish I can do this. Unfortunately, trying to pack on lean muscle mass when weight training means that I need to consume 190 grams of protein a day. Pretty hard to do that on a vegetarian diet or one that restricts meat to a few days a week. Not to mention, meat just tastes so good. :D

The Advantages of Blue Ray on a lap top?

i3 is a dual core processor where as i5 is quad core. It all depends on what you are using the laptop for. If it's just for browsing the web or watching movies, the i3 would be fine if you are wanting to spend the extra dough you'd be saving for the Blu-ray.

    ......poor in spirit.......???

My take on it is that it is those who are poor in spirit are those that have reached an understanding that without the intervention of God in their lives they are in a perpetually hopeless state. Materially you may be wealthy, but when one realizes that they are empty or poor spiritually and...

Christians: If God Loves Us and Wants Us to Join Him in Heaven, Why Didn't He Put Us There?

While mental gymnastics can be fun, it ultimately boils down that I'm a finite human being trying to understand the ways of the infinite. I don't know why God decided to work things out the way things have been. I mean, couldn't a perfect being like God have found a way to prevent Jesus's...

Frubalmania - Can't keep up anymore!

I don't think people will take much offense to it.....just me. Good thing my frubal milestones only come around with as much frequency as the Chicago Cubs going to the World Series.

Jesus - Does it matter if he existed or not?

If you're just looking to live well then maybe the story is all you need. Then again, I imagine there are many that are living well without giving much thought to the life of Jesus. I guess my answer goes beyond just living well on earth. I'm sure you know enough about Christianity to know...

    What makes somebody attractive?

I think I do the same, and I wonder if it's because I always tried to find justification as to why I wouldn't want to be with them. I never gave much of a thought to the very attractive women I'd meet because I always assumed they'd have the vanity and pretentiousness that would make being with...

Jesus - Does it matter if he existed or not?

Depends on who you ask. If it is just a story, then, as Paul would say, many's faith would be in vain and we are to be pitied most among all people.

    You and your Car..

This isn't mine but same year, model, and color. I'm kinda a wuss when it comes to reaching speeds that, if caught, would be considered wreckless driving. I've only pushed it to 100 MPH and that was enough for me. I always seem to be running late to work so I can probably be a bit too aggressive...

Does God condemn children to Hell?

    Don't worry.....I peed my pants a little.

Occupations; Is this really What We Want to Be Doing?

My position wouldn't be terrible if it wasn't for the corprorate environment that goes along with any huge, global company. I had no idea what field I wanted to concentrate on when I was in college so I chose what I thought we give me the best advantage when looking for a job. I'll admit, most...

Post your pet pics! Show off your babies.

These are pretty old but they'll do the trick.

    What are you playing?

Hopefully you can tell me why everybody seemingly loves this game. I played it for 10 minutes and won't shed a tear if I ever pick up this game again.

Need Recommendation: Best Chick-flick/Romantic Comedy of All Time

The Notebook was the first movie that came to my mind. EDIT: Don't know why the "comedy" part didn't register in my head. This wouldn't be the best choice for that genre.

    ChristineES crashes through 11 million!

Way to go, Christine! It is my hope that your kindness rubs off on Wandered Off a little bit. I mean, the guy is such a grouch and is always teasing me.
