The flesh (the body) cried out to the eternal Spirit dwelling in the body (God). He was both the Father and the Son as it points out in Isaiah 9:6 (The Son was the body) The question is who was in that body? - it was the Father
When he was asked to show them the Father. He said - if...
In the beginning was the plan, and the plan was with God, and the plan was God. (because the whole thing revolved around the Messiah) All things came into being through that plan, and without the plan not one thing came into being.
Man is currently ruling this earthly kingdom. God gave him free choice, and dominion over all the animals, etc. The Messiah is the one that conquered death for all mankind. At Messiah's return is when the resurrection occurs. That is when mankind will relinquish his rule over this earthly...
Not sure what you are trying to prove with that statement. The Messiah said destroy this temple (referring to his body) and in 3 days I will raise it up. The almighty God (YHWH) was dwelling in that body. That was the body YHWH took on to sacrifice for our sins.
The "he" in those verses is man and his descendants. The translators capitalized Son making it look like it is referring to the Messiah. It's actually referring to the descendants of man (or the son of man).
First of all if it was referring to the Messiah then it would be in conflict with...
When a NT verse is quoting an OT verse, and the OT verse said YHWH then that's what would have originally been in the NT verse. The fact is they substituted other words for God's name. But at least we have a heads up in the OT by having LORD or GOD in all caps in most of the places.
Those verses are referring to mankind handing this earthly kingdom back over to the Father. God has temporarily allowed man to have dominion over the earth he had created. When he returns, man will no longer be able to make choices like he does now. There will be the judgement of mankind...
The name of the Father is YHWH.
The verses that say he is Lord are actually saying he is YHWH. If they hadn't removed the name of God this would be clear to see.
Hi Mark,
You seemed to be saying the Son was created first, and then the Son created things himself. I was pointing out that the Son (the physical body God took on) didn't actually exist until it was born of Mary. Because Galatians 4:4 lets us know he was made of a woman and made during the...
The Greek word logos means thought/idea/concept/plan/etc. That verse would have been translated better as: In the beginning was the plan, and the plan was with God and the plan was God.
God's word was his plan. He had everything planned before he created anything. So the plan was with...
He has all power in heaven and earth. That makes him almighty. If you understood that he is God, you would know he is the almighty. God was dwelling in that body.
He is the head of ALL principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10
Your take on these verses is in direct conflict with the other verse where YHWH said he was alone and by himself.
He is the image because he was the body the invisible God of heaven took on. But he wasn't another person. There is only ONE God.
That body did not exist until it was born...
All 4 kingdoms being dealt with are world kingdoms. The Babylonian, the Medo-Persian, the Grecian, and the Roman. It's not vague at all. There have only been 4 world kingdoms.
If you say you received a message during a certain time, as is stated in these prophecies and it wasn't true. Then...
It's kind of difficult since you put the writings about 350-400 years after the men died. You can choose to believe they are forgeries if you want.
But I think the fact that the prophecy showed there would be 4 world kingdoms as in Daniel 2:40 and Daniel 7:24 should still have some weight...
Do you consider the dates given by the writers of the books to be evidence? I suspect not.
Can you give me dates you would accept for the books of Jeremiah, and Daniel being written by?
Hi Valjean,
I wasn't talking about the NT at that point. I was referring to OT scriptures and their prophecy.
I agree with your first sentence. Can you prove your last claim above?
That is interesting. You say you are Jewish. The Jews are waiting for the Messiah. Yet you say if someone were to claim to be the Messiah it would be against the law and he would be a criminal. His punishment - death by the Judicial authority.
