I do:
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Here it says we will reign with him for a thousand years
Revelation...
Caregiver
Caregivers take care of others even when doing so requires sacrifice. They give to make the world a better place for others. At worst, the Caregiver's sacrifice is maiming or manipulative. At best, the Caregiver's giving is compassionate, genuine, and of great help to others.
I can't be bothered to read all that stuff I value my retinas too much, but in answer to the title of this thread:
Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
St. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to...
Here Pauls uses the example of the human body to show that we are all useful for different reasons to the Church:
1st Corinthians 12:27-28 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers...
My best advice would be to pour your heart out the the Lord in words that you can understand, read the bible and get regular fellowship. Doubts can come early on but I found a regular reading of my bible seemed to answer the questions I had for me.
Bad thoughts can be a life long battle...
Exactly, this was the Apostle Paul's point.
1st Corinthians 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
Having grown up in the pentecostal enviroment and indulged in it a little as an adult I can say that for the most part it seems to be hysteria / hypnosis.
Did you know that (in my experiance and many I have spoken to) when you are at a charismatic meeting or have been attending for a few weeks...
Oh great, another person attacking the trinity but doesn't even know what Christians believe regarding it.
I don't think any Trinitarian will disagree with this brilliant statement by Augustine:
7. All those Catholic expounders of the divine Scriptures, both Old and New, whom I have been...
Yes they do but I was looking for an answer specifically from the muslims on here who keep posting about why Islam is right and why Christianity is wrong. Why should a Christian abandon the bible for the koran?
Perhaps if there were some proof to go along with it, God wrought many wonders through the Apostles as per the book of Acts to verify their message and authority.
I believe the Gospels were written by eye witnesses or as in the Luke accounts by gathering evidence from eye witnesses.
I witnessed a car crash a few of years ago & wrote down the details of it a month later and likewise several other witnesses also witnessed the same crash and wrote down what they saw from their perspective. Putting these eye witness accounts together helped the insurance company decide who was...
Like the Apostle Paul, the veil must first be lifted from your heart and the scales must drop from the eyes of your understanding before you see it, I myself felt as though I read a new book when I read the Old Testament after being born of the Spirit. It is truly remarkable to see how blind you...
Perhaps applying earthly mathematics to the Divine Essence is not appropriate. We do not subject God to our Earthly reasoning but rather rest in the knowledge of Him who created all things by His divine Word and believe the promise that one day we will know fully even as we are known fully.
