    Hey Guys,

Yes, too many questions. I'm deeply offended. (Intense sarcasm) lol I don't consider myself henotheistic. I'm just less practiced with the other gods. Though I'm starting to broach communication with Aphrodite. Like I was saying, just a matter of experience. In terms of worship: I feel lead to...

    Hey Guys,

Honestly, that's a long story. The short and simple version though (therefore lacking a lot of important points): Even when I was little, I would talk to this higher power that was nothing like the god of my former, Christian church. The few times I would feel it respond to me (via feeling or...

Do I Have to Agree With All Old Lore?

All of you guys were awesome. Thank you. That's kinda the way I felt coming in to polytheism. Sure, I still have some baggage from my former faith; but I just couldn't see the Gods being so ridiculously petty that I must perfectly understand all mythos or else I would be tortured for all...

    Expanding my recipe book

You grew up near the coast in Oregon? I grew up around Seattle, and had more than one excursion into Oregon. Small world. Considering that my grandma was from the deep fried south, I can absolutely give deep frying tips. lol With fish and chips, deep frying is almost impossible to mess up...

    Expanding my recipe book

Hey Jesster, glad to have you! I'm not sure how this is related to religion; but I'm not going to try and "chide" you for a topic that's absolutely harmless. In fact, It's rather tasty. My favorite meal for a *long* time is fish and chips. But honestly, the way you cook it and the little...

    Hey Guys,

Thank you for the warm welcome, but I've studied monotheistic religions such as Christianity and Islam. I can safely say I'm well on my way *away* from Islam. Please don't juxtapose me with your religion.

    Hey Guys,

Read the forum rules, and figured I'd say hi and introduce myself. Until my mid teens, I had been a devout, conservative, fundamentalist, Christian. Pretty quickly I then became an Atheist. Now, recent events have encouraged me to look at the supernatural realm, and the belief I have now is that...

Bugs and insects might feel pain. Fish might.

It won't change mine. I always assumed that animals feel pain, and prefer to not harm them. With the exceptions of being dangerous/nuisance, and me needing to omnom. Even then, it's entirely possible to defend myself or provide sustenance for myself with respect.

Do I Have to Agree With All Old Lore?

Hey Guys, First, I'm new to this site, and new to Neo-paganism as a whole. I was first a fundamentalist Christian, then an Atheist, and now I'm here. My question is whether I have to believe all of the old lore, or are there parts I can take as metaphor / valuable fiction? For example, my home...
