    Three Days and Three Nights

Ebionite, you have a question directed to you in post #439.

    Mother Mary, mother of Jesus

I'm not sure "the gospels say" is the same thing as saying "it's in the gospels" or that "gospels", a plural noun, is the same as "Bible", a singular noun, for comparison/analogy purposes. I'll have to give it some deep cognitivetorical (if it's not already in the dictionary, it should be) thought.

    Atheists: does God exist?

Yes. The 3rd option in Jayhawker Soule's poll suggestion in post #18 is still unnecessary regardless of which god is intended.

    Mother Mary, mother of Jesus

Probably not. I was just trying to keep you honest with regard to your use of the plural. Agree. Again, just trying to keep you honest with regard to your declarative phrase that the gospels say that it was John at the crucifixion when they merely say that it was the disciple whom Jesus loved.

    Atheists: does God exist?

It wouldn't matter. My comment would apply to any "god".

    Mother Mary, mother of Jesus

Actually, only one of the Gospels places Mary at the crucifixion and none of them mentions a John.

    Atheists: does God exist?

The way the question is stated, there only needs to be two choices from which to select - yes or no.

I Could Be An Atheist At The Drop Of A Hat

    I don't know to what you're referring.

    Three Days and Three Nights

From your post #430 - You quoted 1 Corinthians 15:4 and said: "There isn't anything that relates to the crucifixion." If you weren't referring to that verse, to what were you referring?

    Three Days and Three Nights

That's the post I'm asking you about.

    Three Days and Three Nights

You quoted Shiranui117's comment about 1 Corinthians 15:4 and replied that "There isn't anything that relates to the crucifixion." If you weren't referring to that verse, to what were you referring?

    Three Days and Three Nights

Although it has nothing to do with this topic, how can you say 1 Corinthians 15:4 is not about the crucifixion?
  13. R

    Three Days and Three Nights

Also, there is nothing there which shows an example where a daytime and a night time were forecast or said to be involved with an event when no part of a daytime or no part of a night time could be. And remember, this topic is directed to those who believe the crucifixion took place on the 6th...

I Could Be An Atheist At The Drop Of A Hat

So your answer is yes; then how about right now, while you are reading this, demonstrate your stated ability to become an atheist in a heartbeat, by engendering the belief that supreme beings do not exist. Now that you believe that they don't, how did you do it?
  15. R

    Three Days and Three Nights

Someone new looking in may know of examples.
  16. R

I Could Be An Atheist At The Drop Of A Hat

So, you believe - are convinced that a supreme being exists?
  17. R

    Three Days and Three Nights

That's still an issue for a different topic. Maybe you could start one.
  18. R

    Atheists: does God exist?

Anyone with a lack of belief in deities.
  19. R

    Atheists: does God exist?

    Yes.
  20. R

    Three Days and Three Nights

That's an issue for a different topic.
