I'm surprised there is little reply.
When we moralize and value something,
things become a hierarchy.
At the top of the mental hierarchy,
is a sober, progressive form of truth.
I call this truth the right reason.
One of the highest truths.
I would suggest being really kind and appreciative to yourself.
I have a wide variety of familiars and spirit friends,
which reduces my loneliness greatly.
Most people don't have that, though.
It's lonely to be with just one species.
Especially if it is only humans.
Sifting through the crap...
"Enlightenment is sometimes quick and sometimes a long journey. See Buddha undertook a long journey, but when it happened, it was quick.
IMHO, enlightenment and liberation are the same. Liberation is a corrolary to enlightenment, they come together."
This is, of course, true. Thanks for...
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Eternal progression.
What is your greatest fear?
Fear of my own weakness.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

What is the trait you most deplore in others?

Which living person do you most admire?

My experiences led me to a personal belief that does not conform to other established religions.
I call it Right Reason.
It is an omnist faith.
While everyone is imperfect, many beings are still capable of some truth.
We need to digest cultures and learn form them instead of conforming to them...
I'd say look for small miracles. You'd be surprised by some of the stories I've heard by fellow LDS members. Jesus was also miss-understood. So there is the issue of setting up a straw man. Other people's mistakes can effect you it seems. But don't give up!
The opposite of Ethan's idea, would be a terrible AI being that spreads its empire across all populated worlds, enslaving and consuming all life on all planets. Like worse than the borg. But his idea of the future is that we will all become exaulted, greatly enhanced by technological...
I have a comment about enlightenment and liberation.
Enlightenment is not a binary, switch it on, switch it off, kind of thing.
It's unique and personal. It is usually a very long term process.
Liberation is also more difficult and more easy based on the person,
and their life and associations...
"Have any deities ever "visited" you.
Yes, it happened 3 times. The first was the one that lead me to Hinduism. I keep precious memories of those moments, they are very special and moving for me. They are the pillars of my faith to me."
What level of power do you feel the deities have?
I...
Well, I find that difficult to explain.
You're so hopeful. The whole belief system is hopeful.
The world is a terrible place in some points of view, with everything eating each other and dieing in cycles.
The ideology took years to form and make. It has some kind of answer to almost any human...
However I had a few dreams of nameless deities too.
They usually had huge glowing rainbow colored bodies and could instantly
hear a person's thoughts and prayers. They were surrounded with friends and monks.
One of my main dreams is simple and maybe not impressive to normal folk.
I dreamed multiple times of skunks. I don't have a pet skunk, but i had a dream
where i talked to some skunks in a forest. Simple telepathy style talking.
Then I had a dream where I was trying to protect baby skunks but...
I consider JW and Mormon stuff as examples of human nature.
I try not to get mad at the imperfections of it all.
These people are trying hard at what they've got.
It also makes me feel sorry for them.
There are a lot of them.
Most dreams i quickly forget. Even if i think it is incredibly important.
For example, many strange things happened in one of the houses
me and my brother lived in for years. Ghost stuff.
Visions are difficult. Sometimes it is clear and true.
Sometimes it is cloudy and...
I consider myself highly versed in the Jehovah's Witnesses religion.
I grew up in it.
Now I have been talking to mormons in my city and I feel i know the
basics of mormonism. It is complex though because they have more than
one bible sized book to study.
I also have read some philosophy, various...
