    i think people kill each other in the name of religion or philosophy. i thinks communism/socialism or fascism and democracy killed more people than religion. the whole philosophy of religion is to save people from pain and suffering

    i told you the philosophy behind it. it was just for precaution not an actual law. like we had SEGHA for a while then it was stopped.

    It's a no no answer. The whole purpose of capital punishment for apostasy was to stop hypocrites from playing with the new born Islamic society. No body was punished for apostasy during the life of prophet Mohammad (pbuh). It was just for protecting the new Muslims from doubtful thoughts.
