i am a brahmin and my gotra is Kaushika, but as many puranic myth have tried to destroy our prestige and even demote us i would like to change my gotra to father of Kaushika, Jmdagni or Bhrigu.
is is okay as Kaushika himself tells un in rig veda that he belong to lineage of Bhrigu and...
yeah but if we go by sheer numbers, than Indra dominates the concept of supreme god. while second position is occupied by Agni and varuna if i am not wrong.
so indragni is the name of the union or name of new supreme god according to Rig veda as both indra and agni are given supreme status by number of slokas.
can you tell me sir,
how they used to worship this union ?

First, we hindus dont have any schools. Second i am a hindu brahmin from rural India, i habe met hindus from all over Ibdia and i belive i know more about my religion than some guy whos lihing 1000s of kms away.

but according to RV he is Supreme god. and yes Varuna was supreme one time, i am not sure why he reduced to minor deity in Vedic time. any idea why Indra became a supreme god during early vedic period ?
