So, how does this system work??

Qu'ran Alone sounds like a "back to the basics"movement, but how can you conform to the Qu'ran without observing some of the traditions around it?Wasn't wudu, for example, described in a Hadith and the Qu'ran does say that ablutions before salaat is necessary...

    Monotheism..Whose?

Mind you, it's interesting to me how the basic concepts of each Divinely revealed religion tend to fit together....

    Monotheism..Whose?

Awesome :-).The Zoroastrians are probably one of the most interesting Faiths to me because it's the one I'm least acquainted with...

    Monotheism..Whose?

Hopefully, that's exactly what does happen, Gracie.Although(at least according to my faith)the Essence of God is ultimately unknowable, the ultimate message sent(via the religions,philosophies,etc.,etc.),at least, should aid and accelerate our spiritual evolution.

Birth of Baha'u'llah observed November 12th

It's a day early, but we celebrated the Birth of Baha'u'llah with a Pot Luck lunch in the library community room.It was actually very nice...we all read something from the bulletin about the early life of Baha'u'llah and his function as the Manifestation of the Age of Fulfillment. Some Persians...

    Monotheism..Whose?

How wonderful...such a diverse group of people as well as beliefs and the Oneness of God, however perceived, serves as a uniting factor. Here's a philosophical question:as we develop our ideas of who God is,do you think it's possible to start reflecting virtues we would attribute to God, such as...

    Monotheism..Whose?

It really is and I think it's great that God has given human beings the capacity to be so diverse in their perceptions and yet so united in ethics and morals:-).It's just another thing that tells me that human beings evolve in more ways than one and for me the most exciting form of evolution is...

    Monotheism..Whose?

Thanks.I hear you about the trinitarian dogma..I've never been able to reconcile that with what I'd read in the Bible, in the Koran or even in the Bhagavad Gita, where the Oneness of God is so often and obviously asserted. That's cool that you've been able to serve God and develop your own faith...

    Monotheism..Whose?

Hey.I just wandered in and I've got a question to pose:Are there folks out there who are disenchanted with organized religion and yet consider themselves monotheists?I ask this because I've got a couple of friends who consider themselves monotheists and have their own personalized rituals and...

    Conflict Between Christianity and Islam

Okay, (sorry I was gone for so long..limited net access)I was alluding to the fireside conversation held a couple of weeks ago.I think I'd best set up my own position first and then go on to explain some of the main ideas that were discussed.Okay.The two key words that I find often repeated by...

    Conflict Between Christianity and Islam

So, I understand that the next World War will be over religion rather than politics. In a Fireside last Friday night, we had a speaker who said that Christianity and Islam were on a collision course and that those who hold the Baha'i Faith may not be as free as they are now to practice and teach...

    Quick Question...

Thanks, Victor.. You're right, the Guardian's letter is a good one.Virginia a strong Catholic state?Hmmm...well, I'm in that peculiar little corner known as Northern Virginia.A lot of folks come down from the North and back from the West and obviously they bring their religions with...

What do you do for Ayyam-i-Ha?

Oh, okay, thanks again:) .So, is the Fast a customary Persian holiday, or why was it established??I know talking to people who have fasted, it's a great way for people to clear out their minds and bodies so they can focus on God and His Will, but why was the month of 'Ala designated the fasting...

    Quick Question...

Thanks,Arthra.. Yeah, spiritual growth does take time and I'm much relieved to know that I don't have to push Jesus aside to make room for Baha'u'llah..Mass was great, although it was in Spanish(whoops) and I had to strain to hear the lesson.

    Quick Question...

Hey,folks.. I've got a quick question for you that nobody else seems to be able to answer. That question is, can one be a Baha'i and a Catholic at the same time?I know that the quick and obvious answer would be "no", but this question kind of came at me when I was reading about some of the...

What do you do for Ayyam-i-Ha?

What do you do for Ayyam-i-Ha?

Thank you so much for the links :) .LOL,if I knew the Farsi word for Questioner, I'd probably tack that on my name somewhere, I've been so busy interrogating people (especially the friend who helped guide me in to the Faith and some other friends as well) about the Feasts, the Fast, the...
