    Admittedly, I haven't been following space news recently, but this caught me by surprise. A Private Spacecraft Will Attempt to Land on the Moon Tomorrow ....and a 22-pound rover??? :hushed: What is it.... an iPad strapped to a remote control pick-up truck? :hushed:

    As the Earth gains more mass each year it gains gravitational strength , is the moon going to be pulled to Earth and inevitably enter the atmosphere becoming a catastrophic event and the end of human civilization ?

    Well, having partially completed my studies in Mesopotamian languages, I couldn't help but notice that the Sumerian-Akkadian word for " floodwaters " also refers to the New Moon and therefore the synodic month average that was the staple of Mesopotamian luni-solar calendars Thoughts ?
