Is nihilism true and if so why ?

I feel like nihilism is true but I don't want it to be.
  2. Massimo2002

    Why do humans exist ?

    Perhaps the ultimate philosophy question.
  3. Massimo2002

Can something exist and not exist at the same time ?

I was on The Christian Fourm and say a question simaler to this and thought that it was profound so I created my own question inspired by that thread now just because I don't see a cat outside doesn't mean that the cat outside doesn't exist it just doesn't exist to my conscious perception.

Isn't it terrible that humans don't even know why they exist but yet we push on anyway

So much mystery in the world but yet humanity marches on despite not knowing even the most important things such as why we or anything exists.

Why doesn't the world of the internet come out of the screen into the real world ?

I see people and words and many other things on the internet that feel and look real but why don't these people and things come out of the smartphone screen ?
  6. Massimo2002

What makes something fictional and something real ?

Who's to say fictional characters aren't real ? If they aren't real then why did people create them ?
  7. Massimo2002

Is it possible to find meaning in entertainment ?

Such as movies and tv shows and YouTube and porn and social media can these things bring meaning to life or do they make feelings of emptiness worse ?
  8. Massimo2002

Why does Confusion and ignorance and depression exist ?

These the don't benefit me and probably everyone else In any way whatsoever so why do they exist ? What is God's reasoning here ?
  9. Massimo2002

Why do different places exist and why can't we as humans be in more than one place at a time ?

So here's what I am saying why isn't everywhere just one place such as Edmonton or New York City Or North America why are there no boundaries beyond any place on earth ? And why do so many places exist ? I know someone will say that it's because the earth is a big place but why is the earth a...

A long drawn out contemplation about my life and other things

I regularly go on a website called locanto and my sex advertisement almost always gets ignored I would like a pretty young adult girl to respond to my ad but it doesn't happen and the only people who seem to use the site are prostitutes and older men wow what a disappointment. I have days like...

Why do Humans care about anything ?

What's stopping humans from doing nothing and becoming nothing ?
  12. Massimo2002

What makes something popular and what makes something obscure ?

Why are certain things popular a lot if not most people know the popular thing and why are some things obscure one one or a handful of people know about the obscure thing ?

    Poll: Your Opinion

I have to say, my opinions on religious matters has not changed at all, BUT, now that I have a place to understand and define my ideas better, I've grown spiritually because of it. This place kind of feels like a religious sandbox where I'm able to test new thoughts and ideas and slowly create...

    Money and Happiness

A lot of things have got me thinking about money, happiness, and the connection between them. I am poor, as many college students often are. I do my best to save money and support myself. I take the maximum possible credits at the local community college in association with my university, I...

    Technical Methods and Intuitive Sensing

OP: What's the difference between a brain and a computer? Once again the good and sharp Sabine Hossenfelder is in action with her usually sharp analysis and asking the critical and relevant questions. Sabines video Abstract and Chapters: In which sense are brains similar to the devices we...

Philosophy, the love of wisdom, the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. What happens if all that was not a choice? I offer these two thoughts to discuss which was given by Baha'u'llah in the Súriy-i-Haykal "...Within the treasury of Our Wisdom there lies...

Socrates Must Die: the political history behind Socmas.

Another banger of a video filled with primary sources on the history of Socrates by one of my favorite YouTubers and individuals of all time. Topics covered/touched on: - Why Socrates was killed. - Why his spiritual sons and associates were persecuted. - What their revolution and beliefs at...

    It's all about the bliss

I wish to share my philosophy, which is based upon my personal experience/struggles. Many people might disagree with it, but I wish to share it anyway. It's the pdf file below. In this file, I discuss my personal struggles later on, and what conclusion they've led me to. Anyway, here's the file:

Can science reconcile different moral positions?

I wanted to get opinions. I’ve had several conversations on line on the subject of morality. There are so many philosophical positions one can hold and many seem to be exclusive, on their own accounts, and have ardent defenders. Is morality neural and societal simultaneously? Subjectively, our...
