‘Free will’ is not an excuse for God allowing atrocities.

No one deserves death, DNB. What we as humans need is compassion. Your God doesn't offer that, though. He offers hell for those who believe differently. That's horror.
He's offered grace and mercy, I've said that 2,000,000 times.

Yeah. A lot of those groups were frequently warring. But that didn't stop with the development of city states, as Mongolian, Roman, Persian, England and the Ottoman marched on with war to build an empire, while those such as the Greek city states as well warred against eachother. The Romans called it civilization, Tacitus called it their slavery.
But today it's been nearly a century sense Europe has had any war amongst each other. That's very significant and strong evidence to the claim the world is getting less violent. Decentralized power had more to do with this than the development of permanent settlements.

Agreed that the world TODAY is at relative peace. One of the most peaceful in fact.
But I fear that one day we will call this age an 'inter-war period.' And our world's peace
could turn pear-shape awfully fast - just watch Ukraine. Once nuclear non-proliferation
is dead and every nation in the Middle East has nukes I fear what will happen.

Too many "what ifs" and assumptions of doom and gloom.

As I said, not those words, but if you kid or brother knows Jehovah, goes to another god, and says to you lets worship other gods, the Bible (OT) does specifically command that you to cast the first stone.

As in your won't go to heaven(something like that) not "deserves to die immediately"

No one takes judgment into their own hands. All devout and sincere Christian denounce the crusades and inquisition, and disassociate themselves with those nefarious events, and all those who were behind them.

No True Scotsman.

Russia sent quite a bit more military equipment toward Ukraine just in the last few days(train loads)

Is it merciful to send people to hell? Is it merciful for there to even be a hell in the first place?
They have the choice to stay away.
Let me guess, you probably believe that Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer and Son of Sam were probably good people deep down?

I'm probably going to regret this.
What does that have to do with God's final judgment on the world?

You said...""Those who defy their Creator, and/or insult Him by paying allegiance to worthless idols, deserves to die, immediately!"

That is not final judgement and I ask again, where does it say that in the bible. Especially the part about they should "die immediately"

No, it says you are to kill them. It's not metaphor, it's not meaning something else, it says to report it to the elders and get to the stoning.
If it's an entire town that knew Yahweh and went apostate, they are all to die.

...meaning, that we don't love Him as we should, and as He deserves? Or, we question HIs existence, or integrity and holiness?
For me, the former: yes, the latter: no.
It is the same for me. I do not love Him as I should, but I do not question His existence, or integrity and holiness.
