17 Reasons Not to Slit Your Wrists

Is there a magic potion that will make me sleep for the next 4 years so I don't have to witness this all over again?

17. Finally and most importantly, over 55 million Americans voted for the candidate dubbed "The #1 Liberal in the Senate." That's more than the total number of voters who voted for either Reagan, Bush I, Clinton or Gore. Again, more people voted for Kerry than Reagan. If the media are looking for a trend it should be this – that so many Americans were, for the first time since Kennedy, willing to vote for an out-and-out liberal. The country has always been filled with evangelicals – that is not news. What is news is that so many people have shifted toward a Massachusetts liberal. In fact, that's BIG news. Which means, don't expect the mainstream media, the ones who brought you the Iraq War, to ever report the real truth about Nov. 2, 2004. In fact, it's better that they don't. We'll need the element of surprise in 2008.

I don't believe he will, retrorich. And if he does, he won't be elected, he's too shady and has too many health problems.

Actually, I hope he does run, that will all but assure a Democratic win in 4 years. :)

the biggest thing one can affect is their local politics. Many of todays large national issues were yesterdays smaller local issues. Find out who your congressman is who he/she is running against.....same for the local judges sheiffs . My local congress respentative is a fella named john carter(r). I wanted jon porter to win (d). You as an idivdual don't have very much say in who is president but your vote becomes stronger when you vote for the local guys.

this is a senerio where we need to work on the varibles we can control instead of the ones we cannot.

if you guys are bummed that bush is president try living in the state that he came from. everyday i get to meet people high fiving each other since the election saying it s time to kick tail in the middle east shut down the baby killers and put God back into our countries agenda.

small texas victories: llloyd dogett(d) by the way won his seat congress again. the republicans redistricted his district to include more conservatitve voters and went sideways down the map through born again christian country (http://www.phillipsforuscongress.com/pages/10-tx-district.htm)the powerplay failed and he won his seat back. Some liberals had to have put him back in his seat.
