A bully pitbull that’s almost the size of a miniature pony has become an internet sensation after his owners released photos and videos of him online. Aptly named ‘The Hulk’, the impressive canine weighs a massive 173 pounds and he is still growing!

At only 17 months, The Hulk is already three times bigger than other dogs of his breed, and he’s already being hailed as the ‘biggest bully pit bull on earth’. However, his owners,Marlon and Lisa Grennan, from New Hampshire, say The Hulk is a gentle soul, and even let their toddler son ride him like a horse. “These dogs are very balanced and gentle – they are nanny dogs,” Marlon said. “I don’t think it’s irresponsible for people to have pit bulls and children. They’re dogs just like any other dog. No matter what the breed it is, it is hundred per cent how you raise them.”

Such a cutie and what a big boy! I've never heard of a dog getting to be almost 200 ibs. I think he's a lovely dog and his family are lucky to have him. I love pits. :)

Your loss. I think they're great dogs. The neighbor across from me has a female pit and a little puppy that she had recently. They're so adorable. :)

Had a customer that had two of these monsters. I wouldn't go in the house!

Uh-huh...
...

I really ****ing hate people who have this reaction to pitbulls.

Do you know why they can be so aggressive? Because they might be one of the most dedicated breeds of dog on the planet. They just want to please their master. That's all they care about. So if that means being a vicious fighting dog, they'll do it. A pitbull, when not treated like some kind of monster, are some of the most friendly & gentle dogs on the planet. Part of properly training one isn't about getting them to like other people, it's about getting them to understand that despite how badly they want to be a lapdog, they're a bit too big to do that. You know the phrase "doesn't know his own strength"? That's pretty accurate with a pitbull.

They aren't naturally aggressive, no dog really is. They just have such an intense "pleasing drive" that they're much easier to mold into fighting dogs. Which is why that might be the cruelest thing you can do to a dog, especially a pitbull. The person who does it is abusing the dog's unconditional love for him.

I've never had one, but a friend of mine did, called him 'Bowser'. He had a bit of a problem with getting too excited with people, but he just wanted to play & cuddle. Big dog, not quite Hulk up there though. One of the most adorable animals I've ever met, because he had this quirk where whenever he was really, really excited(meeting someone new, getting a treat, ect) he'd start 'beating' the ground with his forepaws.

I had a pitbull named Sarge, he was one of the smartest and loyal dogs I ever had. He lived to be about 18 years old. My brother has owned 3 pitbulls, Patches, Jake, and Snow. I absolutely love the breed.

Come on guys, don't bash those who don't like specific animals. It's their preferences and people are different :)

The last one I had, named Ninja, he notified me of the babies' poopy diapers, when they dropped a bottle or binky and when pizza in the oven was ready :) He's lived with family down in N.C. for the past couple years because of local laws.

I love pit bulls. They are easily a very friendly breed of dog, very loyal, and also very playful. My brother used to have a 120 lbs pit bull named Bubba. And I thought Bubba was big. He could carry around a 16 pound bowling ball in his mouth, but another 50 pounds that is one hefty dog.
We should call out people who post misinformation and fear-mongering about an already persecuted and misunderstood breed of dog.
It's a tragedy that people spread lies and fears about certain dogs, such pits and rotties. People are so scared of rottweilers, but a rottweiler is one of the biggest babies you'll even know and probably one of the best dogs to have around little kids because they'll put up the abuse that small children are known for dishing out to animals. And pit bulls, they may not seem as friendly as a smaller and cuter dog, but they are still very friendly and very playful. It's also a shame these dogs suffer from hip problems.
