2012 Believers Poll

I am curious about which groups of people believe that 2012 is significant. I'm not looking for a debate on the topic, but if anyone wishes to steer it that way then be my guest.

Once you have voted, please indicate in a post which option you chose and give some specific information about your religious denominations or which variety of Indigenous or Pagan religious you belong to. I would have liked to include all options but that would make a very, very long poll.

I believe it might very well be the end of the world as we know it, perhaps even the end of the world itself...if Sarah Palin somehow is allowed into the White House.

I voted: I am a Hindu. I do not believe that 2012 is significant.
I am a Vaishnava Hindu. The universe still has a very long journey before it ends. I have no reason thus far to believe that the world will improve any time soon, though wish it would.

I am atheist and do not believe in a new age or that the world will end in 2012.
However, I wouldn't call it insignificant.
I think that at 21-12-2012 the statistics of the world will show a difference with other years.
There might be more people at home, more movies will be released that day, people might check the news some more, loads of tv shows about nostradamus etc. It will be a millenium 2nd.

It didn't stop them from being gullible the last countless times we had a big doomsday date set

I am "Other" [the ego of my brain] and I have been seeing big changes in my world (and in those in it) since approx. 2009; all for the better too!
Perhaps, if we are lucky, soon (why not by 2012?) more of us will have freed ourselves from our egos' selfish wills and desires, and be ready to enjoy this new perspective on life together...
