3-digit CSS color chart

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I made a large PNG image today with all the 3-digit CSS color codes. (Warning, 455kB file.)

Pretty -- but we all know colors can change shade, but actual evolution to novel colors is impossible.

I would guess that it helps you program a specific color in CSS code, which is used on sites like reddit.

Cool chart, but what's its purpose?

It's for web design. I wanted a big chart to look at instead of messing around with color selector programs. CSS supports 3 digit colors, so it's like #015 instead of #001155, which is easier to key in, and you get 4096 colors anyway which is plenty enough I think.

I might make other charts based on hue/luminosity or whatever and post them here but this will do for now, figured I'd share it in case someone found it useful.
