I think we are dealing with a very elitist person.

The elites here don't mind if the gas is 2 euros per liter.
Unprecedented.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
OMG! This is clearly more than enough reason to drop Biden and support instead a vile, malignant sociopathic narcissist and the sick, ignorant coterie longing to normalize his sociopathy, ...

... or not.

Really? Has the nomination been formalized yet?

Biden is trying to ban the export of American oil so we have plenty of domestic supply, the oil companies and the Republicans (same thing) are fighting this tooth and nail

Because . . .

""Banning or limiting the export of refined products would likely decrease inventory levels, reduce domestic refining capacity, put upward pressure on consumer fuel prices, and alienate U.S. allies during a time of war. "

U.S. oil groups urge Biden to take fuel export ban off table, letter shows

Europe is already facing a rough winter with natural gas and oil supplies from Russia being suspended:

How bad could Europe’s energy crisis get this winter?

For the US to leave Europe hanging at a time like this strikes me as unforgivably selfish and short-sighted.

It's a move that only makes sense politically, and even then only in the short run.

Rubbish the real reason is because they can get a higher price for their oil on the international market than if they were forced to sell it domestically

Which doesn't mean that the arguments they're putting forward aren't valid.

It just means they have ulterior motives, and my answer to that is:
"Well duh".
