Anyone ever see it? I have the movie-munchies, the list is so random: Silent Hill, Yu-Gi-Oh, then I want to watch some superhero movies I never saw like the 08 Superman and both of the recent Hulk movies, and the Iron Man films. Transformers just looks silly to me...

But I noticed there's a movie of Spiderman in the 70s, I wonder if it's worth seeing. I don't really care if it's campy, I got through a few episodes of the Batman TV series with Adam West so.. :D

The only live-action Spiderman I remember before the Toby McQuire series was the TV show (probably was the 70s), and from what little I remember of it, it was awful. :p

If you don't mind animation, I still think the 60s Spiderman cartoon was the best portrayal ever:

You... have never seen Iron Man?!

HERETIC! BURN THE HERETIC!

(but you can skip the second one)

Seriously. That movie by itself is what finally got me into American superhero comics. Since then... well... I don't feel like confessing the depth of my obsession.

Hehe, it was Dark Knight that got me into superhero flicks, but I never decided to see Iron Man because I don't know any of his backstory and honestly, at the time, he didn't seem that interesting enough for me to look some facts up about him. Because I'd like to know some of who his enemies are before watching the movies so I don't come off thinking "he's just fighting some random evil dude" :D

RF needs to quit having server farts, because I'm tired of loosing posts. >_<

The great thing about the first IM film is you really don't need to know squat about the Marvel universe to enjoy it. They made the backstory more contemporary to appeal to modern viewers, and it works. Plus, the Marvel movie universe doesn't match up with the Marvel comics universe anyway, so knowing the Marvel comics universe doesn't necessarily help you.

True, but I don't know I guess it's just me, I just like to recognize the characters, like "Oh I saw this before and now it's on screen"

I guess it's sort of like a comparison thing, if I didn't know who the Joker/Ra's Al Ghul/Scarecrow/Bane/Two-Face/Catwoman was before I saw the Dark Knight's series, I'd be kinda like... not enjoy it as much :D
