This one is for you @Revoltingest !
Thousands of convictions overturned.
Many innocent people are finally free.
Many guilty people are free too.
What a travesty in every single case, eh.
Crooked cops are costly, yet the system tolerates them.
As @Shadow Wolf might say.....
**** the police.
When they aren't criminals themselves,
they're the criminal's best friend.

No surprise. Cops are nasty, untrustable, crooked, corrupt and until they start holding each other accountable not a single can be said to be good. As long as they can lie to us, abuse us and have qualified immunity the police must be considered dangerous and a severe threat to our life, wellbeing and liberty.

Check out this video for an example why the pigs
should be viciously ******.
Innocent grandfather is accused of taking a package
during an entrapment program at a house.
He didn't take it.
The beat the crap out of him, & then discover
that he's innocent. Do they apologize?
No. They conspire to search his car, hoping to find
something to justify the beating & arrest.
All these cops should be charged, prosecuted,
& imprisoned for the beating & illegal search.
Instead, they arrested the victim after leaving
the hospital, & charge him with drug crimes.
Charges were dropped.
How is it that we pay such stupid & abusive
losers to carry a gun & a license to kill?

My favorite cop quote....
Chief Wiggum:
[after letting a criminal suspect drive away] I'd rather let a thousand guilty men go free than chase after them.
A police officer goes to a farm with a search warrant...

He shows the farmer the search warrant and tells him that he has the order to search for something unusual on the farm.

The farmer is confused and asks him: "Why here on my farm? Did something happen?"

The police officer just answers: "I am not allowed to tell you but I am allowed to search on your whole farm because I have a search warrant."

The farmer is still confused but he agrees. He tries to tell the officer: "Ok, but don't look in the barn because..."

The officer interrupts him and says angrily: "I just told you that I have a search warrant and I am allowed to go EVERYWHERE on your farm."

The farmer answers: "Yeah but you really shouldn't go in the barn because....."

The officer interrupts him again and shouts: "I HAVE A SEARCH WARRANT AND I AM ALLOWED TO GO EVERYWHERE ON YOUR FARM, EVEN IN THE BARN!"

The farmer stays quiet.

The officer heads directly to the barn.

5 minutes later the police officer runs out of the barn and a big bull is chasing him. He shouts to the farmer: "DO SOMETHING! HELP ME!"

The farmer shouts back: "SHOW HIM YOUR SEARCH WARRANT!"

It occurs to me that police departments should
immediately fire any cop caught lying or leaving
out significant info in any proceeding, eg, report,
testimony. Even if they're transferred to office
duty, they'd still have the opportunity to corrupt
procedures.
This would limit the damage caused by having so
many innocent people convicted, & so many perps
getting their cases over-turned. Lying cops are
too dangerous to have any role in policing.
