A Case of Hypocrisy and Racism?

VoidCat

Use any and all pronouns including neo and it/it's
Regarding the immigrants being sent elsewhere by Desantis...
Anyone else reminded of our history? Back in the 60s...racist organizations in the south sent groups of black people up north to make folk uncomfortable. This is much similar.

And why would you complain about the number of guardsmen sent to help instead of complaining about the republican politicians causing this hardship in the first place just for a publicity stunt? I mean, you being so upset by hypocrisy an all.
New York Times “Women’s Work” writer Megan K. Stack wrote: “Whatever the surrounding circumstances, calling in the National Guard for 50 people really does look terrible. It’s also awful to see people marched past the cameras. This whole stunt is dehumanizing and humiliating.”

All thanks to your republican cohorts. But then humiliation is the sport of choice among conservatives these days, isn't it. Humiliate the libs, humiliate the queers, the dems, the poor, any foreigners, any non-Christians: and you get to be a conservative hero. You're a shoe-in for public office all throughout the south and west. Isn't that pretty much how it is, now?

There are shelters all over the USA, and these migrants were sent to places that were notified and had room. They were also sent to places with temporary addresses so they can have court dates in that jurisdiction. They had food and access to facilities, which is a moral approach, wouldn;t you agree?

Contrast that to what DeSantis did by not notifying the destination, sending migrants to a place where there are no facilities, no food, no jobs, so had to be moved by the national guard. And some of these migrants were given temporary addresses in places far from where they were sent, and have no way to get to court on Monday. And of course having a camera crew so these migrants can be caught in distress and confusion when they got to their destination. None of these migrants were here illegally. All have pending cases for asylum.

Cruelty is the point. And there may be criminal charges against DeSantis as a result.

If there are criminal charges... it should start with Biden and work your way down.
Texas Democrat Says Biden Admin Needs To Turn More People Away At Border | The Daily Wire
It started with Trump, and is ongoing as we see, with more and more investigations.

So what criminal charges against Biden? Your comment sugests there are crimes, but you failed to explain if there are any. Explain.

And the Daily Wire is a biased source. Don't you want to be taked seriously? Why are you using poor quality, biased sources?

Yes, ignore the true report just because you don't like the outlet (even though it is "quoted")

Biden - shipping people all over the US at night without permission or letting anyone know they are coming... the same charge you are making about others.

I read about half of the story. I have high standards, you don't. The story did not suggest any criminality on Biden's part. So perhap your bias on to of your mendia's bias led you to believe there is something to your claims. There isn't. You cite no reputable source, and no actual criminality, so your claims fail.

Biden - shipping people all over the US at night without permission or letting anyone know they are coming... the same charge you are making about others.
This isn't happening. There are shelters all over the country, and migrants are sent to places where there is room and resources. Your claims is inaccurate. And Biden isn;t making any decisions about migrants directly, that is left to the agency that manages migration. However DeSantis was directly involved with the illegal acts of flying misled migrants to a destination that wasn't informed, nor prepared, nor could handle the migrants. DeSantis may be charged with kidnapping by transporting people deceptively:

Let’s Call DeSantis’s Migrant Stunt What It Is—Kidnapping

Apart from this deliberate sabotage, it is not to say the government is doing a great job, but there has been a huge number of people seeking asylum, likely because Trump closed the border for a year due to Covid. I acknowledge the USA needs to invest more in managing migrants, but that won't solve much long term. Congress as a whole has its hands full and migration seems to be a low priority. It's a huge priority for republicans and that is probably due to the undercurrent of racism among conservatives making this issue important, and voters can be easily manipulated and whipped up at events. Note that Republicans offer no solutions any more than democrats. So complaining only goes so far, and if you have no solution, well you're not serious about solving it.

Here is an outline about what DeSantis might be guilty of:

Kidnapped Migrants More Popular On Martha's Vineyard Than Alan Dershowitz - Above the Law

To deceive people and then act to move them is a form of kidnapping. It is a federal crime when it involves crossing state borders.

DeSantis seems to be getting more desperate as he is trying to appeal to more far right MAGAs. This act is very Trumpian, and seems to be applauded by many far right voters. DeSantis might be looking to compete with Trump now as the 2024 gop nomination process ramps up. No doubt DeSantis wants to take advantgae of Trump being down.

In 36 hours, about 150 National Guardsmen were summoned to remove from Martha's Vineyard refugees.

In a place of millionaires that can take care of 80,000 tourists, there was no place in the Inn for 50 Venezuelans. Those who espoused love and inclusion apparently were saying "Inclusion so long as I don't have to deal with it".

At least that is what it appears like to me.

Please let us agree to U.S. foreign aid paid directly to the head of low-income households in Cuba, Venezuela and the Northern Triangle countries of Central America (Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador). this might very well suffice as an effective economic incentive for them to remain in their native homeland, thereby solving many of the Western Hemisphere's migrant challenges. We should consider U.S. taxpayer funded monthly checks of $180/month paid to each head of low-income household Latin American. who are from age18 to age 40 and who are the head of the lowest five million low-income households in Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Venezuela, Eligible participants of this aid would just need to provide a copy of their utility bills addressed to them at a low-income Latin American neighborhood location and documentation of the aid recipients being age18 to 40. This nearly $10.8 billion of annual U.S. foreign aid being paid directly to impoverished Latinos or Latinas would circumvent corrupt Latin American officials. The cost of this U.S. foreign aid could be paid by reducing U.S. foreign aid to other nations. This nearly 10,8-billion-dollar annual investment towards Cuna, Venezuela and the Northern Triangular Central American nations would save U.S. taxpayers and charitable donors the cost of having to help care for hundreds of thousands of Latin American migrants.

Awesome, here's a detective from San Antonio, TX talking about what DeSatanist did, how awful it was, and how they are going to be opening a legal investigation against these soulless devils who did this for a political stunt. Charges of human trafficking, maybe? Charges of kidnapping? That's what some experts say this qualifies as.

And this thread was about the Democrats???? Thank you for the opportunity to expose the true evil party here.
