Prophets of God are required to be humble and not brag that they receive the word of God. God doesn't permit humans to gain fame or notoriety from working with Him. That would merely share divine adoration that should be reserved for God (not shared with humans).

Therefore, prophets of God must not be seen as "more clean." They must be humble, as the dust. They must keep their council, as all wise humans should.

It is this aversion of the limelight that makes it so difficult for true prophets of God to share their messages with the world.

Also, when prophets of God tell the world of their divine visions, they are considered nuts. At this point, God might also allow his prophets to predict other things (for example, a prophet of God was given the information, ahead of time, that the space shuttle would lose heat tiles and crash over Texas). This would force others to believe in predictions of the future, but it goes against the requirement of being humble. Thus, it is a difficult decision how to proceed.

Noah (of the flood) was a prophet of God, and typical of prophets, people thought that he was nuts. This is because he spent many years building a huge boat in the middle of a desert with a wild story of a flood. All prophets of God also have to endure that same humiliation. With the honor of serving God comes the humiliation from fellow humans.

Fortunately, many prophets of God got together on the internet and played with each other with their psychic powers (sometimes visiting each other's homes psychically). By doing so, they felt a lot more sane, because they realized that there were other psychics of God who were going through the same things that they were, and they could test their God-given powers of ESP (etc.) with each other, in order to assure themselves that they were not crazy.

Many people (like Joan of Arc) felt a bit nuts as they served God. It is good that they have a support group helping them.

By the way, these modern-day psychics of God were trying desperately, in vain, to warn not to attack Iraq or face God's wrath (just as revelation predicted in the bible).

If, some day, we encounter beings from outer space, we might "falsely" assume that they know how their flying saucers work. But they might be a vacationing family that presses the accelerator with their foot to go, and presses the brake with their foot to stop, without knowing the inner workings of their spacecraft. We might interrogate them to find more info about their technology (for fear that they might defeat us if they are technologically more advanced). But that might be like interrogating the first dog sent into space to learn how his rocket was made.

God gave us very simple instructions for the modern era. God (in revelation, which is a chapter of the bible) merely said "don't attack Iraq or face my wrath." (I paraphrased). for example, Revelation 15 says that there will be seven plagues (including COVID, no doubt). Preachers have tried to argue their way out of this in many ways. Some redefine words like "Babylon" claiming that there must be some other Babylon that they are talking about in the bible. Well, there is but one Babylon, and it has been in history books for countless thousands of years, and it is the one mentioned in the bible (in Iraq). All the redefining is strictly prohibited by God, and God said that anyone rewriting revelation will be written out of the book of life.

It seems that some can recognize God, and know what God wants, but others seem oblivious to God's commandments or choose to ignore them. Some pick and choose what they believe of the bible, omitting huge sections of the bible. So, I suppose that all humans can't know God (as you intimated).

Satanists changed their titles to scientists? I think that you are being a bit hard on scientists. I've also know a few scientists (aren't you being rather hard of Satan?).

Science provided a means to combat COVID, saving lives and cutting suffering. Science feeds us, and makes everything safer and nicer. There are some negative effects (pollution). But if we were smart, we could avoid many of the negatives.

Recognizing God means you see his favor overflowing and that any good you attained, you see it as a favor from him more then a praise belonging to you. While any evil you attain, you see it belong to you because you did despite his help and mercy and overflowing favor.

The Atheist on the other hand, he tends to not want to be at fault for not seeing God. Consequently, it must be God's fault and not evil on part of the Atheist. More over God being all powerful should make the world according to the desires of the Atheist. If he has not, and will not, he is evil.

If God exists, the Atheist tells himself, then heaven would be the destiny they will enter, no matter. This while people who have faith in God are ever afraid of hell and losing their faith in God from sins.

In short, the Atheist has chosen to glorify themselves, while the believers seek God's forgiveness and belittle themselves in themselves and glorify God's Majesty and Glory in themselves.

Atheists do not fool themselves by imagining the existence of Go, soul, heaven or hell. They know it all finishes on death, and what you are made of disintegrates and disperses in the environment.

Yeah, we do have common beliefs. We do not believe in existence of God, that is the least common factor. Atheists may not believe in existence of soul, heaven, hell, judgement and life-after death.

You were the right the first time. Prophets are exalted and better then others, and God attributes them purity to people and gives them that reputation, while we aren't to claim to be pure that is for God to attribute to people, however, they are not self-centered and egoistic, they worship God and have compassion for all humans.

You also put in this factor which I did leave out. A lot of people are from a disbelieving people and have a lot attachment to people for example friends or family who disbelieve. When I was non-Muslim for 5 years, the biggest factor is that I couldn't accept the notion of hell and distancing myself from disbelievers.

So aside from the ego choice and self-adoration vs glorifying God, we have to choose between God and his creation and servants. It's a hard choice if you don't see God and it takes vision of love to open one's spiritual eyes to the spiritual kingdom within and see the stars of guidance he has adorned the throne and heaven/sky with. At the end, we have to choose God because God's Value is greater and includes all value of creation. Whatever value creation has get's from him.

Ultimately to believe in God is to believe in his judgment as well, his light is his judgment and his judgment is what gives us our reality.

Mankind values so many petty things like Ruling, Controlling, Belittling, Conquering, Anger, Wrath, Intimidating, and Coercing. This is reflected in mankind's religions.God is at that Higher Level above the anger and need for controlling that mankind desires.

God will teach all His children how to create that Heavenly state for themselves and others. This will be done all within Free Will. Only when it's within Free Will is the lesson going to stick.

You greatly underestimate God if you think Atheists are bothering God at all. On the other hand, many religious people get angry when they can not control the choices and actions of others.

If you free yourself from all those control issues, life will be better for you and those around you. Hold fast to the petty things of controlling, ruling, anger, and such and you will be choosing hard lessons for yourself when it all returns to show you what your actions and choices really mean.

Don't you see? God's system works regardless of Beliefs. Your beliefs do not matter. It's your choices that count. It doesn't matter what everyone else chooses. It's what you choose to do that will generate the lessons that return.

All those petty things mankind holds so dear can generate some hard lessons. Still, it is your free will to choose every single one of them. On the other hand, one can choose to make things easier by making Higher Level choices. Let the goodness return instead.

People control people in this world. I'd rather be controlled by God and rather have humans controlled by God. Humans rule themselves, so the way to do that is for to send us his chosen anointed kings to represent himself and rule us.

The consequence of not responding to God and his religion, to me, are severe, because all evil stems from us from dishonor to hunger and the hate between humans, from us disobeying and turning away from God's chosen rulers.

I glorify myself and I glorify my God(s). This does not involve belittling myself. It involves strengthening and empowering myself and my position in this world, and attuning my conscience to reflect the attributes of my God(s)... to fulfill my dreams and goals and ambitions, and to live my life in ways that resonate with my True Will.

I know very bad people who believe that they will definitely go to hell, and they do believe in God, the devil, heaven and hell. So, they have given up and believe that they cannot be saved, so they might as well be as evil as they want.

There are still others who believe that they can be as evil as they want during their lifetime, as long as they can atone at the end of their lives, so they can get into heaven.

Thus, it seems that the theists are prone to be more evil than atheists. Atheists derive their moral code from their upbringing, and don't use fear of God to guide their actions.

The degree to which a theist is certain their belief is true and valid is proportionate to their degree of emotional dependency on belief. That itself creates more stress as the illusion has to be constantly reinforced and maintained.

As for the quote, it's no argument. It's circular. We humans love because we evolved that way. Other animals care for their young and others, but we humans are more complex and have conceptualized many of the elements of how we relate to others. The St. John quote assumes love comes from a God that isn't known to exist. But he makes a statement from ignorance because at that time he didn't know any better. "God did it" was always the default answer for those who had no actual knowledge.

Yes. There is no shame to be felt in being wrong, at least, I certainly do not feel shame in being wrong. It's a great event when truth comes to you and is worth celebrating with friends, sharing it with them. People have spent their whole lives in political causes they came to see as flawed, fought wars they came to see as murder, and many other errors, yet they move on. I think a person can handle "I wasted a couple of hours everyday speaking to a being that didn't exist," it's not that serious.
