A female James Bond. Are you kidding me?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Isn't there a film anywhere that isn't tainted with identity politics?

Lashana Lynch Confirms She Is James Bond's New 007, Haters Be Damned

What are they trying to do? Kill Sean Connery's legacy of a the iconic male lines of James Bonds?

Make your own secret agent legacy of female super British Agents. Sheeze.

Get woke, go broke. This film has tanked already well before release.

I don't see the film as being tainted with identity politics, the response or backlash on the other hand seems to be making a great deal of a female identity being a James Bond. Perhaps it is the accusers who are tainted with identity politics and not the film.

And how would a female James bond kill Connery's iconic legacy any more than a black person would for example?

Well look at it this way.

Why isn't there a male Wonder Woman movie? Or a male Sheena Warrior Princess movie?

Its not that females would make bad characters, just bad placement. I like Capt Janeway on Star Trek. Thats good placement.

James Bond however dosent seem right with the 007 moniker. Why not 006 or 008? 007 has always been James Bond. Always.

Not Jane Bond.

Probably because 'Woman' and 'Princess' are in the titles. There's absolutely no reason Bond MUST be male. 007 is a title that has passed to multiple agents.
It always has been exclusively James Bond. There has never been any other name change associated with 007.

Hey I’ll watch it.
Think of all the reverse innuendo laden names for the “Bond men.”
Hello, 007. These are my assistants. Manny Inches and Rod Pounder.
Lmao!

I think I may have seen that movie. Late late at night. Had Ron Jeremy in it i think. *grin*

It does remind me of Dr Who, now that I think about it.

We will find out with the numbers I suppose.

Dr Who changed more than just the actor when Whittaker took the role (it even looks different they changed so much).
And who cares? It's a fictional character. James Bond can be a sexless Martian for all I care.

I heard of the ratings drop. Terrible characters from what I understand. Poor writing.
The poor writing has been a thing for awhile now. And these are some of the worst companions the Doctor has ever had. Whittaker is actually not bad for the role. She just became the face of too much change all at once.

I say chill. I can agree that so called “corporate wokeness” can be annoying. Because the writing is often terrible. But sometimes franchises just change. I’ve seen gender swapped versions of Shakespeare, gender swapped versions of classical tales, comic characters has like a veritable laundry list of Alt characters, if you like.
Give it a chance, you might have some fun.
I’m more concerned about it being as bad as Spectre. As long as the script is decent, it should be a good send off to Craig.
