A hypothetical senario

Lets say that the movie Star Wars never came out.
But the religion came about, with the same name and the same style, do you think it would be more respected?

Thats a good question. I have no idea. Personally, I think that when people come up with "Jedi Church" then they are missing the whole point lol. I have a hard time taking that seriously when someone starts this 'church' and then films lightsaber battles, (I saw a story about it online.) But from a more serious standpoint, if one simply takes the principals and removes any science fiction from it, then it sounds very legitimate. So I would say it could be taken more seriously without the 'Star Wars' element.

I am a Star Wars lover btw lol :D (Mostly only the original trilogy though.)

Someone would need to a) systematize it, and b) package it in a way that makes sense in today's world. Figure that out, and you've got your religion.

Yes I think it would be a whole lot more respected, whether or not it would be as popular...
