I have to laaugh at myself; I mis read this as 'I think I'm trying to convince myself that I'm following my ancestor's belief of the Great Spirit, Kinda Tacky.
Hah, I thought to myself; not heard of this one; reminds me of the Kon-Tiki expedition (Thor Heyerdahl). Quickly searched for Kinda Tacky (as in KIN DA TACK Y-hard A in DA); before the results came up as ...... I thought - hang on there.......:eek:

:) Thanks for the belly laugh. I had just been reading a very serious thread and I needed something funny. When I saw A New God?, I just had to look.

I laughed so hard at the great spirit Kinda Tacky. Looking back at old photographs, it seems to me that I have worshipped Kinda Tacky, the god of bad clothing choices, more than once!

It reminded me of my own mistake one time. I worked with spanish speaking people and constantly heard the phrase "Jo no se" pronounced Yo no say. So I asked my spanish friend what it meant. She said, 'I don't know, Martha". I started to get mad and finally said, " How can you sit there and tell me you don't know?" She looked at me strangely and as the saying goes, "Then the dawn came!" Yo no say means, yeah you guessed it...I Don't Know! Oh brother did I feel like a jerk. I had been so serious about wanting to know and thinking she wasn't telling me. We all had a good laugh at my poor feeble brain.
